Mujica signed a minor league contract with the Nationals back in January and never wound up making it to Washington. The 27-year-old righty, who last appeared in the majors for the Rockies during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, posted a 5.08 ERA in 24 appearances (one start) this year in the Nationals’ system.

Garver was signed to a minor league contract in February, and while the team gave Andrew Knizner an MLB deal, it appears that Garver will beat out Knizner for the right to back up Big Dumper aka Cal Raleigh. Garver likely will see most of his playing time against left-handed pitching behind the plate and ocassionally at DH.

Roden performed admirably in the Grapefruit League with a .310 average and .774 OPS, but he has an option year left, while James Outman does not, so Outman wins the final outfield spot to begin 2026.

Yoshida starred for Japan in the WBC, going 6-for-16 with two homers and six RBI, but he’d been 0-for-12 in Red Sox camp coming into this one. His playing time figures to be pretty limited initially until someone gets hurt. The Red Sox seem pretty well set on keeping Ceddanne Rafaela in center field, so it’s going to be Jarren Duran and Roman Anthony taking most of the starts between left field and DH.

Gray came in with a 6.23 ERA, but he finished the spring strong, especially in the velocity department. He had been a little south of last year’s fastball average of 91.7 mph in his first three starts, but he was up to 92.3 mph with his four-seamer today, and his sinker made similar gains. Gray is in line to make his official Red Sox debut Saturday against the Reds.

McGuire opted out of his minor league contract Saturday, and he’ll find an MLB oppportunity a day or so later. The 31-year-old will likely be the backup to Edgar Quero while Kyle Teel (hamstring) gets healthy.

Although he generated just four whiffs on 33 swings, Keller was able to strike out five today. He ends the spring with a 4.80 ERA and a 20/8 K/BB in 15 innings. He’s slated to face the Mets in the Pirates’ second game of the season on Saturday, but he doesn’t come recommended in mixed leagues.

Quite the barnburner of a catching competition in Pittsburgh this spring. Bart is 5-for-34 with 16 strikeouts and a .392 OPS. Henry Davis homered today, pushing him all of the way up to .138 with a .631 OPS in 36 plate appearances. Endy Rodríguez actually did hit this spring, going 8-for-26 with two homers, but the Pirates demoted him anyway. Rafael Flores Jr., who was the return in the David Bednar deal with the Yankees, has also been sent down after going 2-for-25. The Pirates will just keep rolling with Bart and Davis for now and will likely let the hot hand, should one ever emerge, dictate playing time.

The writing on the wall came Sunday after Mushinski was optioned to minor league camp, and the 30-year-old has decided to opt-out to test the waters rather than report to Triple-A Albuquerque. The 30-year-old could return to Colorado if he doesn’t find a better opportunity.

Keaschall victimized Braves’ right-hander Reynaldo Lopez for the 374-foot (108.1 mph EV) three-run shot, giving the Twins a 4-3 advantage that they would never relinquish. The 23-year-old has had an excellent spring at the plate, hitting .360 (18-for-50) with three homers, 12 RBI and two stolen bases. He’s slated to open the season as the team’s regular leadoff hitter and should be an impact player for fantasy purposes.

Bradley struck out four batters on the afternoon. All of the damage done against him came in the opening inning as Drake Baldwin smacked a two-run single and Dominic Smith added an RBI single. Bradley got six swings and misses on 63 pitches on the afternoon, registering a CSW of only 18 percent. He has had an inconsistent spring, compiling a 4.67 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and a 23/7 K/BB ratio across 17 1/3 innings. He should be considered as a matchup play at best for fantasy purposes.
