The procedural move frees up a spot on Chicago’s roster to claim reliever Doug Nikhazy off waivers. Cowles has bounced around between a couple different organizations and is likely to pass through waivers unclaimed.

Brice Turang is back in the third spot after leading off five of the last six contests. The 27-year-old speedster has been scuffling at the dish recently, but this feels like a nice spot for him to turn things around. He’s always going to strike out a bit more than fantasy managers want to see, but Mitchell is an exciting power/speed combo talent.

Lee finds himself back in the leadoff spot for the second consecutive contest after going 4-for-5 with a triple during Sunday’s series finale against the Marlins. Willy Adames has been dropped to sixth in the order. The 27-year-old has been on a roll recently, hitting .439 (25-for-57) with two homers and five RBI over his last 15 games. He should be rostered in all fantasy formats, especially if he’s going to serve as San Francisco’s table-setting moving forward.

Harris returns to the big leagues with third baseman Max Muncy hitting the shelf with a fractured finger. The 27-year-old has gotten into 68 games at the highest level since 2024.
