The hope that he’ll be able to return within roughly 4-6 weeks after the procedure. There should be a definitive timetable once he starts ramping up his throwing program in a couple weeks.

Roberts didn’t specify how long Glasnow will be shut down, but it sounds like he’ll get a couple days off to let the issue subside. The 32-year-old hit the shelf with back spasms last week and has yet to progress to throwing off a bullpen mound. Back issues can be tricky matters which makes it challenging to predict when Glasnow will be ready to return.

Hernández represents a zero-risk lottery ticket for the Dodgers after posting a 22/5 K/BB ratio across 15 innings at the Triple-A level this season. The 29-year-old heads to Los Angeles after opting out of his minor league contract with the Phillies earlier this week. He hasn’t pitched in the big leagues since 2024, but has posted a serviceable 4.29 ERA across 153 innings dating back to 2019.

McDermott worked a scoreless inning against the Angels during Sunday’s blowout victory in his Dodgers debut. The 27-year-old former Orioles pitching prospect was traded to Los Angeles last month after being designated for assignment.

Casparius is facing a lengthy recovery process after hitting the injured list with shoulder inflammation back in mid-April. There is no timetable for his return yet.

Graterol was pulled off a rehab assignment over the weekend to undergo further evaluation and imaging after his velocity was down significant in his latest outing. The 27-year-old flamethrower hasn’t pitched in the majors since 2024 and it’s looking highly unlikely he’ll make it back this season. He’s been working his way back from shoulder issues before this most recent back issue flared up. Not good.

Velazquez is an extremely interesting bat-first prospect that figures to hit for enough power to be an impactful fantasy contributor once he reaches the majors. The 20-year-old first base prospect smashed 22 home runs in 122 games across two levels in Cleveland’s system last year before hitting .317/.414/.566 with seven homers in 169 plate appearances over 36 games this season at Double-A Akron. He’s a borderline top-25 range prospect in dynasty leagues at this stage of his development.

The Red Sox aren’t going to take any chances with the long-term health of their potential franchise cornerstone, which is why Anthony will be shut down for a couple days before he picks up a bat again. The 22-year-old prodigy has been on the shelf recovering from a right wrist sprain since early May. It’s not uncommon for a hitter to experience soreness and discomfort when they resume swinging a bat, so there’s no reason to panic just yet. However, it’s a situation fantasy managers should closely monitor.
