Infielder Enrique Hernández has re-signed with the Dodgers on a one-year deal, according to his own post on Twitter.
Well, sources don’t come much more reliable than that. Ken Rosenthal had reported that the Dodgers were one of the finalists to sign Hernández, and it seems that the reunion is now taking place. ESPN’s Jeff Passan is reporting that the Dodgers rumored trade of Manuel Margot to the Twins will need to go through first in order for them to free up space on the 40-man roster for Hernández, but the signing should be official in the coming days. According to Dodgers’ beat writer Jack Harris, the one-year deal is worth $4 million. The 32-year-old slashed a disappointing .237/.289/.357 with 11 homers, 61 RBI and four stolen bases over 508 plate appearances between the Red Sox and Dodgers during the 2023 campaign, but could steal some starts away from players like Gavin Lux or James Outman as part of his super utility role.
