Padres acquired RHP Andrew Moore and cash considerations from the Reds for 1B/OF Connor Joe.
It’s clear that Joe had fallen out of favor with the Padres so they were fine to flip him for anything that they could get at this point. Moore, 25, posted a 4.15 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and a 12/8 K/BB ratio over 8 2/3 innings in six appearances at Double-A Chattanooga. He’ll add bullpen depth in the upper minors for the Padres.

Austin Wells hit a three-run homer and drove in four runs Monday in a victory over the Mariners.
Barger, Santana worth a gamble off waivers
Eric Samulski details the fantasy upside for Addison Barger and Dennis Santana if managers are seeking a boost in power or saves moving forward.

Cal Raleigh hit a two-run homer in a loss to the Yankees on Monday.
  • NYY Right Fielder #99
Aaron Judge reached four times and drove in a run Monday in a win for the Yankees over the Mariners.
  • NYY Center Fielder #12
Trent Grisham homered twice to help the Yankees to an 11-5 win over the Mariners on Monday.
  • NYY Starting Pitcher #36
Clarke Schmidt worked six-plus innings of three-run baseball while picking up a win over the Mariners on Monday.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher #26
Emerson Hancock gave up seven runs over five innings while taking a loss Monday to the Yankees.
  • SD Right Fielder #23
Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a solo homer in a loss to the Angels on Monday.
Tatis Jr. joined the double-digit homer club with a solo blast in the fifth inning. The 26-year-old has been spectacular in 2025 with the aforementioned homers, eight stolen bases, and .942 OPS over the first 39 games of his campaign.
  • SD Center Fielder #3
Jackson Merrill went 3-for-4 with an RBI in a loss to the Angels on Monday.
Merrill is scorching hot after coming off the injured list — he was pretty darn good before the injury, too — and has now picked up multiple hits in each game he’s played since returning to the lineup. One of those hits was a triple, and he’s now hitting an entirely unrealistic .467/.492/.767. Merrill looks like a star at the plate, and even if this isn’t a sustainable level of success, it’s proof of concept that he is capable of providing upper-echelon fantasy production in the coming years.
  • LAA Right Fielder #3
Taylor Ward hit a go-ahead grand slam in the ninth inning to give the Angels a 9-5 win over the Padres on Monday.
With the score tied at 5-5, Ward smoked a grand slam to left field off Adam Jacob that gave the Angels a 9-5 lead and ultimately a victory. It’s the ninth homer of the season for the 31-year-old outfielder, and his RBI total crept up to 21 with the salami. Ward has been much better in May, and it’s again worth pointing out how hot he can run when things are clicking.

Robert Suarez gave up five runs while getting just one out in a blown save and loss against the Angels on Monday.
Suarez was handed a 5-3 lead to protect, and to say he did not is quite the understatement. he walked four batters, and the last two free passes came with the bases loaded to tie the game at 5-5. Two more runs were charged to him when Taylor Ward hit the go-ahead grand slam, and it saw his ERA bump up from 0.51 to an even 3.00. The life of a reliever. Suarez has been excellent in 2025, and fantasy managers shouldn’t panic after his first — and probably not last — blown save of 2025.
