Lovullo mentioned that Eduardo Rodriguez (shoulder) would make one more rehab start to build up his pitch count and then could return to the rotation next week. That would mean Nelson would move back to the bullpen despite pitching better than a few of the starters currently in Arizona’s rotation. Hopefully one more good start might convince Lovullo otherwise.

Chourio’s first homer of the year was a 400-foot blast to left-center, and he also had a 113.3-mph double to left in the eighth. He’s gone 14-for-44 since coming off the IL, giving up him a .318/.362/.500 line in 47 plate appearances.

Henderson left up 2-1, and Chad Patrick held down the fort for the rest of the game. Henderson has a 2.81 ERA and a 20/2 K/BB in 16 innings over three starts since being recalled by the Brewers. With Patrick in the pen, Henderson should survive Brandon Woodruff’s return and remain a key piece of the Milwaukee rotation and a valuable fantasy starter going forward.

Most three-plus inning saves comes in 11-2 games, but not tonight. With Abner Uribe, Trevor Megill and Aaron Ashby all working last night, the Brewers just stuck with Patrick as he allowed one hit, walked none and struck out three over the final four innings. He wound up throwing 52 pitches on three days’ rest in his third straight relief appearance. It looks like the Brewers intend to keep him in the pen going forward, making him pretty useless in mixed leagues. He’ll remain quite valuable to his major league team, though.

Prielipp has allowed one or two earned runs in all five of his starts to date, but he has only a 1-2 record to show for it. His eight strikeouts tonight were a new high. He’s definitely a mixed-league option at this point, but he’s not a great play in a one-start week against the Red Sox in Fenway next weekend.

Peralta gets his first save with Mason Miller unavailable. The 34-year-old did put the tying run at the plate after allowing a hit and a walk, but he was able to escape without any damage. Peralta is a very solid reliever, but there are too many options ahead of him to expect many — if any — more save chances.

Gilbert surrendered three homers in the contest, including a three-run homer in the fourth to Nick Castellanos. The 29-year-old was coming off an outstanding effort against the White Sox, but as has been the case for the most of the year, he followed a strong outing with a disappointing effort. Gilbert offers enormous fantasy upside, but his floor has been awfully low. He’ll try and get back on the good side against the Royals in Kansas City on Friday.

Buehler did give up runs in his final two innings; a Cole Young single in the fourth and a J.P. Crawford homer in the fifth. The 31-year-old struck out six against two walks while scattering five hits in the contest. Buehler has pitched well in his last two contests, but his scuffles in previous outings see him still possess a 5.01 ERA. He’ll try and keep the good run going against the A’s on Friday.

Trivino expected free agency after the Orioles designated him for assignment and he went unclaimed on the waiver wire. The 34-year-old will be a depth piece for Philadelphia, and they’ll need to add him to the 40-man roster if they deem him worthy of a bullpen spot.

Garver was a late scratch from Saturday’s game. It’s worth noting that the 35-year-old is expected to handle catching duties while Cal Raleigh (oblique) is unable to play, so if Garver needs to miss time, it’ll be Jhonny Pereda starting behind the plate until their return.

Usually “load management” is a term reserved for NBA players, but for Seattle, it’s about making sure Donovan doesn’t aggravate the groin injury that has seen him miss time already in 2026 and required surgery in 2025. When Donovan has played he’s been effective, but fantasy managers have to be prepared for some absences for the foreseeable future.
