Brayan Bello blanked the Yankees for seven innings, striking out eight, in Boston’s 2-0 victory Sunday.
Bello always seems to step it up against the Bombers; he has a 2.21 ERA in nine career starts versus the club. The win today was his first since April 27, as he had received no-decisions in seven of his previous eight starts. He has, however, now turned in three straight quality starts, which follows a stretch in which he went five straight starts without completing five innings. He’s 3-1 with a 3.49 ERA overall, and he’s due to face the Giants next. He seems like at least a streaming option in that one.
