Brandon Pfaadt pitched well in a no-decision against the Blue Jays in Toronto on Tuesday, giving up two runs on four hits over his five innings of work.
Pfaadt struck out three batters on the evening while allowing one free pass. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was responsible for all of the scoring done against him — with an RBI double in the opening inning and a solo blast in the third. The 26-year-old right-hander got seven swings and misses on 81 offerings on the night, posting an underwhelming CSW of only 22 percent. Pfaadt exited with the lead and in line for his ninth win until Shelby Miller’s collapse in the ninth. He’ll see if he can get back in the win column when he carries an 8-4 record, 5.38 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and a 58/19 K/BB ratio (75 1/3 innings) into Sunday’s showdown against the Rockies at Coors Field.
