Zack Littell allowed one run in seven innings and got the win in the Rays’ 11-3 victory over the Orioles on Saturday.

Littell gave up three hits, walked two and struck out five. One day after the Orioles scored 22 runs against the Rays, Littell was able to work deep into the game while only allowing one run. He’s gone at least five innings and allowed only one run in three of his five starts in June. Littell has a 3.61 ERA and 71/13 K/BB ratio in 104 2/3 innings on the year. He’s lined up to face the Twins on the road next weekend.

Grisham was pulled from Wednesday’s contest due to discomfort in his left knee and the was held out of the lineup on Thursday as a precautionary measure. He’s back atop the Yankees’ lineup on Friday and starting in center field against Rays’ right-hander Nick Martinez.

Ronald Acuña Jr. (thumb) returned to the Braves’ starting lineup on Friday.

The 28-year-old outfielder was pulled from Thursday’s contest with a bone bruise in his left thumb, but X-rays came back negative for any fractures. He’s right back in there in his customary leadoff spot on Friday night against Richard Lovelady and the Nationals.

CLE Relief Pitcher #50

Guardians optioned RHP Codi Heuer to Triple-A Columbus.

Heuer was up with the big league club for a couple of days while Peyton Pallette was away on paternity leave, now he’ll head back with Pallette rejoining the bullpen on Friday. The 29-year-old right-hander holds a 3.38 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and a 3/1 K/BB ratio across 2 2/3 innings in two appearances for the Guardians this season. He should get another opportunity at some point this summer.

CLE Relief Pitcher #41

Guardians activated RHP Peyton Pallette from the paternity list.

The 25-year-old right-hander was away from the club for a couple of days as he welcomed a new addition to the family. The Rule-5 pick has registered a 5.49 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and a 21/13 K/BB ratio over 19 2/3 innings during his time with the Guardians this season.

Tyler Tolbert

KC Left Fielder #2

Royals recalled INF/OF Tyler Tolbert from Triple-A Omaha.

Tolbert will get a spot on the Royals’ bench with Elias Díaz getting designated for assignment on Friday. The 28-year-old has been used almost exclusively as a pinch-runner and defensive replacement during his time with the Royals this season, and that’s likely to be the same case over the weekend against the Mariners.

Royals designated C Elias Díaz for assignment.

The Royals needed to clear a spot on their active roster for the addition of Tyler Tolbert on Friday, so the club’s luxury third catcher winds up getting the boot. There’s always a need for viable catching depth around the league, so there’s a chance that the 35-year-old backstop attracts some interest on waivers.

Yankees activated SS José Caballero (finger) from the 10-day inured list.

Caballero told reporters pregame that he’s playing shortstop on Friday against the Rays, as expected. Acquired from the Rays last season, he has been sensational for the Yankees in 2026, swatting four homers and swiping 13 bases while usurping the starting job from Anthony Volpe.

Cole is set for his first big-league start since the end of 2024. The former Cy Young winner missed all of last season while rehabbing from Tommy John surgery. He’s facing the Rays at home to kick off Memorial Day weekend.

Eloy Jimenez

FA Left Fielder #74
Eloy Jiménez is returning to the Blue Jays on a minor-league deal, per Mitch Bannon and Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

The former top prospect appeared in 12 games for Toronto earlier this season, batting .290 without a homer. The Blue Jays have dealt with several outfield/DH injuries, so keeping Jiménez around as organizational depth makes sense.
