Paul Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 and hit his second homer Tuesday against the Rangers.
The homer came off Tyler Alexander in the eighth. One of the AL’s better hitters against lefties last season, Goldschmidt has struggled a bit there to start the year, going 3-for-21. Fortunately, he’s been a little better against righties and has a fair .748 OPS overall. Still, it’s lefties the Yankees want him playing against, and with Ben Rice performing so well, Goldschmidt’s time could be very limited once Giancarlo Stanton returns.
