Antonio Senzatela went two innings and allowed one run in a Cactus League start against the Diamondbacks on Friday.
Senzatela allowed three hits, with one of those being a solo bomb from Nolan Arenado. Senzatela was one of the worst fantasy starters in baseball last year, and when you consider a wide variety of factors, there’s little reason to think that won’t be true again in 2026.

Dylan Crews was scratched from the Nationals’ Grapefruit League lineup on Sunday due to left thumb soreness.
The injury isn’t believed to be anything serious and the 24-year-old outfielder is considered day-to-day. While it shouldn’t impact his availability for the start of the regular season, it’s something that fantasy managers should at least monitor over the next week or so just to be on the safe side.
Target Abreu late for fantasy RP amid Hader injury
Eric Samulski and James Schiano look at the 'landmine-y' world of fantasy relief pitchers and explain why Josh Hader's injury gives Bryan Abreu a massive boost in value.
  • CHC Pitcher #35
Justin Steele (elbow) told reporters that his recovery from UCL surgery is on track and he’s targeting a return to the Cubs’ rotation in May or June.
Steele noted that he’s finished with his follow-up visits to Dr. Keith Meister who performed the operation and that he has been cleared to start throwing curveballs in his bullpen sessions. The 30-year-old southpaw wants to return by June so that he’s hitting his stride in October. He has found himself going just inside the top 400 picks in recent NFBC drafts, with the expectation that fantasy managers will get nothing from him for the first two months of the season.
  • DET Starting Pitcher #35
Justin Verlander threw two innings in a simulated game on Sunday.
The 43-year-old hurler is lined up to make his Grapefruit League debut on either March 6 or 7. He’s on the same buildup schedule that he has been in season’s past and will be ready to roll when his spot in the rotation comes around once the regular season begins. With his return to the Tigers and his strong finish to the 2025 campaign, Verlander makes for a worthwhile late-round option in deeper mixed leagues.
  • CLE Center Fielder #14
Chase DeLauter (lower body) returned to the Guardians’ lineup for Sunday’s Cactus League showdown against the Rockies.
DeLauter was scratched from Wednesday’s game due to lower body soreness, but thankfully it appears to have been only a minor issue. The 24-year-old top prospect will serve as the designated hitter on Sunday and will return to the outfield at some point early in the week.
  • MIA Left Fielder #28
Marlins manager Clayton McCullough told reporters on Sunday that Kyle Stowers (hamstring) has been diagnosed with a mild right hamstring strain and is expected to miss 1-2 weeks.
McCullough noted that “it was a good diagnosis” and that Stowers will start being able to get at-bats on the back fields in a few days. It sounds like the best possible scenario for Stowers given the circumstances. As long as things go according to plan and he avoids any setbacks, Stowers should be ready in time for Opening Day.
  • HOU Outfield #44
Astros’ manager Joe Espada told reporters on Sunday that Yordan Alvarez will make his Grapefruit League debut on Monday.
The 28-year-old slugger has been brought along cautiously this spring but is fully healthy and ready for live game action. While he’s expected to see the bulk of his action as the designated hitter in 2026, Espada noted over the weekend that Alvarez will also see some starts in left field. If he can avoid the injured list, Alvarez will wind up delivering a substantial profit for fantasy managers from his current average draft position.
  • NYM Shortstop #16
Grae Kessinger is expected to be sidelined for at least 8-12 weeks after being diagnosed with a significant left hamstring injury.
There had been reporting on Saturday that Kessinger was dealing with a knee issue, but the MRI exam revealed the hamstring issue. Mets’ skipper Carlos Mendoza told reporters that surgery is on the table for the 28-year-old infielder.
  • NYY Outfield #35
Cody Bellinger (back) told reporters on Sunday that he hopes to return to Grapefruit League action on Wednesday or Thursday.
The 30-year-old slugger is working his way through a “very mild” back issue. The Yankees are simply taking every possible precaution here as they don’t want the injury to linger into the regular season. As of now, there’s no reason to think that Bellinger won’t be ready for Opening Day.
  • DET Pitcher #36
Tigers optioned RHPs Ty Madden and Dylan Smith to Triple-A Toledo.
Neither right-hander had a realistic shot at cracking the team’s Opening Day roster, so there are no surprises here. Madden, 26, will open the season in the rotation at Triple-A Toledo. Both hurlers should have an opportunity to pitch for the Tigers at some point during the 2026 campaign.
  • MIN Starting Pitcher #41
Joe Ryan (back) threw a bullpen session without issue on Saturday.
Ryan has been sidelined for a couple of days due to inflammation in his lower back though the Twins maintain that it’s only a minor issue. The next step for the 29-year-old right-hander will be to face live hitters and if all goes well there he’ll be cleared for Grapefruit League action. Ryan will not join Team USA for pool play in the World Baseball Classic, but he remains on their designated list and could be added for the second round.
