Cardinals placed RHP Matt Pushard on the 15-day injured list with right knee patellar tendinitis.
Pushard made just one appearance while allowing three runs in his MLB debut over an inning against the Rays. The seventh pick of the Rule 5 draft will be out for at least two weeks, and Gordon Graceffo will take his spot on the roster/in the bullpen.

Brendan Donovan (illness) is not in the lineup against the Astros on Saturday.
Donovan was not able to play Friday due to the illness, and he’ll get at least one more day off while recovering Saturday. Consider Donovan day-to-day with a good chance to get back in the lineup Sunday against Houston, and if not the series finale Monday.
'No one can touch' Miller right now
James Schiano outlines just how impressive Mason Miller has been for the Padres.
  • LAA Starting Pitcher
George Klassen exited Saturday’s start against the Reds with a right index fingernail contusion.
A bruised fingernail doesn’t sound like a ton of fun. Klassen threw 72 pitches — 38 of them strikes — while allowing five runs over two-plus innings before exiting. Depending on the severity of the bruise, Klassen could be heading to the injured list. He also could be headed back to Triple-A based on how he’s pitched in these two starts.
  • MIN Right Fielder #9
Trevor Larnach went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer and a walk to lead the Twins to a 7-2 win over the Blue Jays on Saturday.
Larnach got a rare start against a left-handed pitcher on Saturday, batting seven against Eric Lauer. He capped off a seven-run inning for the Twins with a three-run blast off Lauer for his first homer of the season. The 29-year-old outfielder had just one home run over 106 at-bats against left-handed pitching in 2025. Larnach is hitting .273/.448/.500 with five runs and five RBI across just 29 plate appearances as the Twins have faced a lefty-heavy schedule in the early going.
  • MIN 3rd Baseman #22
Brooks Lee went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against the Blue Jays on Saturday.
Lee put the Twins on the board with a leadoff homer in the third inning, part of a seven-run frame as Minnesota hit around the order. Lee added a single in the sixth for his second hit. That’s back-to-back games with a home run for the 25-year-old infielder. Lee is hitting .237/.293/.395 with six RBI across 41 plate appearances.
  • TOR Right Fielder #12
Jesús Sánchez went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer against the Twins on Saturday.
Sánchez left the yard on his only hit of the day, golfing one out to right field for a two-run blast in the ninth inning. The home run had an exit velocity of 107 mph, going 406 feet. It was the second home run of the season for the 28-year-old outfielder. Sánchez makes for a solid streamer in deep five-outfielder leagues against right-handed pitching.
  • MIN Starting Pitcher #41
Joe Ryan allowed two runs with five strikeouts over seven innings in a win over the Blue Jays on Saturday.
Ryan walked the leadoff man in the first inning, then surrendered a two-run homer to Daulton Varsho. That would be all the damage the Blue Jays would do as Ryan settled in nicely, giving up just one more hit through seven innings. He tossed an efficient 65 strikes on 91 pitches and induced ten whiffs to strike out five batters. Ryan’s fastball velocity is still down a tick from last season in the early going. Still, he’s posted a solid 3.80 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and a 22/6 K/BB ratio across 21 1/3 innings. He’ll take on the Reds in Minnesota on Friday.
  • TOR Starting Pitcher #56
Eric Lauer allowed seven runs with three strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings in a loss against the Twins on Saturday.
Lauer’s velocity still wasn’t quite back to where he was in his first start after pitching through an illness his last time out, sitting 90.2 mph on Saturday. He tossed a pair of scoreless innings before unraveling in the third. Brooks Lee got to him with a solo homer to lead off the frame. Five straight batters would reach safely to bring in three more runs and leave two runners on for Trevor Larnach, who launched a three-run homer to make it a seven-run inning. Lauer came back with two more scoreless innings and recorded the first out in the sixth before departing at 95 pitches. The 30-year-old left-hander is in line to take on the Diamondbacks in Arizona on Friday.
  • LAD 2nd Baseman #25
Tommy Edman (ankle) is one of the hitters facing Blake Snell in Snell’s live bullpen session.
Edman, 30, underwent ankle surgery after the World Series, and isn’t expected to be ready until May. Still, it’s a positive sign in the progression that he’ll face Snell, and he appears to be keeping track with that timeline.
  • DET Left Fielder #31
Riley Greene had a three-run homer, an RBI single, a walk and a steal Saturday in leading the Tigers to a 6-1 win over the Marlins.
Greene is now 1-for-2 stealing bases this year after going 2-for-3 in 157 games last year. His exit velocity numbers have been down to start the season, but he’s made nice strides with his strikeout rate while also showing even more bat speed than usual. In spite of the slow start — the homer today was his first of the year — his fantasy stock is up a bit.
  • DET Starting Pitcher #12
Casey Mize earned his first win by limiting the Marlins to one run through 5 2/3 innings on Saturday.
Mize struck out five. He needed just 74 pitches to get his 17 outs, and though he exited with two on in the sixth, that was only because a Kevin McGonigle error had extended the inning. Mize stands 1-1 with a 3.94 ERA and an 18/6 K/BB in 16 innings over his three starts. Still, his velocity is down some from last year, and he doesn’t seem like a mixed-league guy right now. He’ll make his next start in Boston against the Red Sox.
