Luis Severino pitched well in a losing effort against the Orioles on Sunday afternoon, allowing just two runs on six hits over 5 1/3 innings.
Severino struck out four batters on the day, though he also issued four free passes. The Orioles scratched out single runs against him in the third and sixth innings, though Severino was able to limit the damage each time despite a parade of baserunners. He got seven whiffs on 102 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 26 percent. He’ll carry an uninspiring 4.07 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and a 47/29 K/BB ratio (48 2/3 innings) into a nice matchup against the Giants on Saturday.
