Miles Mikolas earned the win on Sunday against the Mariners, tossing seven scoreless innings while striking out three and allowing three hits.

Mikolas didn’t walk anyone, lowering his ERA to 5.29. PJ Poulin served as an opener as Mikolas hasn’t made an official start since May 12. The performance was impressive, but the veteran righty will remain well off the fantasy radar in his next outing against the Rays on the road.

Ernie Clement (hip) returned to the Blue Jays’ starting lineup for Thursday’s contest against the Rangers.

Clement was held out of the starting lineup each of the previous two nights due to soreness in his hip, though he did come in off the bench on Wednesday and play a couple of innings at shortstop. He’s back in there at shortstop and batting second for the Jays against Rangers’ southpaw MacKenzie Gore on Thursday evening in Toronto.
Lindor returns to Mets in much-needed boost
Despite an unproductive first game back from injury, Francisco Lindor's return provides a boost to the New York Mets' lineup as well as fantasy baseball rosters.

Josh Jung is not in the Rangers’ starting lineup for Thursday evening’s matchup against the Blue Jays.

It looks to be nothing more than a routine night off for the 28-year-old slugger. Ezequiel Duran will cover third base in his absence and will bat sixth for the Rangers against Blue Jays’ right-hander Kevin Gausman.

CJ Abrams is not in the Nationals’ starting lineup for Thursday night’s matchup against the Phillies due to renewed tightness in his left side.

Abrams missed Tuesday’s game with the same issue. Nationals’ skipper Blake Butera told reporters on Thursday that Abrams should be available off the bench and isn’t expected to miss any substantial time. He’s still considered day-to-day.

Kyle Schwarber (back) returned to the Phillies’ starting lineup for Thursday night’s tilt against the Nationals.

Schwarber missed each of the team’s previous two games due to tightness in his back, though he did draw a walk as a pinch-hitter on Wednesday. The 33-year-old slugger returns to a terrific .252/.367/.594 slash line to go with a league-leading 29 homers and 52 RBI through 338 plate appearances on the season.

Angels sent INF Nick Madrigal outright to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Madrigal, 29, was designated for assignment on Monday as Jorge Soler returned from the injured list. He’ll return to an everyday role at the Triple-A level until another need arises with the Angels.

Rangers placed INF/OF Cody Freeman on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to June 22, with a herniated disc.

On the day the Rangers get Corey Seager (concussion) back from the injured list, they lose Freeman to a back. No word yet on how long the Rangers expect the versatile 25-year-old to be sidelined for.

Rangers activated SS Corey Seager from the 7-day concussion injured list.

The 32-year-old slugger has cleared the concussion protocol and will make his return to the Rangers’ lineup for Thursday’s showdown against the Blue Jays. He’ll start at shortstop and bat third against Jays’ right-hander Kevin Gausman on Thursday evening in Toronto.

Phillies activated OF Johan Rojas from the restricted list; placed him on the 60-day injured list with a torn UCL in his right elbow.

Rojas was likely to join the Phillies’ bench later this month once he finished serving his 80-game PED suspension, but instead he’ll miss the rest of the year after undergoing season-ending surgery to repair a torn UCL in his right elbow. It’s unclear whether or not he’ll be ready in time for the start of the 2027 campaign.

Orioles sent OF Michael Siani outright to Triple-A Norfolk.

The 26-year-old outfielder was designated for assignment earlier in the week and passed through waivers unclaimed. He’ll continue to function as extra outfield depth for the O’s at the Triple-A level.

Astros activated RHP Bryan Abreu off the restricted list.

Abreu was given three days off to take care of a personal matter. The right-hander will be a bridge to closer Josh Hader, but he has not been effective whatsoever in 2026 as seen in a 6.39 ERA and 1.82 WHIP over his 25 1/3 innings.
