The estate of former Seahawks owner Paul Allen has announced the sale of the team to 49ers limited partner Vinod Khosla.

The impending sale was first reported by Sportico then confirmed by ESPN before the team itself announced the move. Sportico and Schefter have reported an eye-watering sale price of $9.6 billion, shattering the Commanders’ previous NFL record and making the transaction one of the most expensive in the history of global sports. As NFL franchise values spiral ever upward, this probably won’t remain the record for long. Sitting pretty as Super Bowl champions with a 21st century largely spent winning, the Seahawks are a crown jewel asset, but things can always go haywire when those change hands. Khosla has a lot to live up to in the late Allen, who passed away in 2018. That, of course, is once the deal is formally approved by the NFL. That will reportedly take place in late August. A “tech billionaire” in the words of Sportico, Khosla is one of the co-founders of Sun Microsystems
NFL could 'deconstruct' Sunday Ticket by 2030
Mike Florio discusses the future of NFL broadcasting on the heels of a report that the league could do away with Sunday Ticket, the subscription service allowing fans to watch every out-of-market game, by 2030.

Allen’s sister, Jody Allen, is the executor of the trust and has a “directive from her late brother to eventually sell both [the Seahawks and Trail Blazers] and donate the proceeds to charity.” Per the report, “Sportico values the Seahawks at $6.59 billion” and “one team executive told ESPN that the Seahawks could fetch $7 billion to $8 billion.”
  • Allen also owned the Portland Trail Blazers and is the co-founder of Microsoft. He was just 65 years old and revealed two weeks back that he’d been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. His outlook had been positive on the diagnosis, so this comes as a surprise. Allen bought the Seahawks in 1996 and wasn’t married and had no children. It’s unknown who will inherit the Seahawks.

Keon Coleman caught 6-of-7 targets for 116 yards and a touchdown in the Bills’ Week 4 loss to the Patriots.

This was the best game we’ve seen from Coleman in a long time. Not only did he show up in the box score, but two of his catches were unbelievable sideline grabs that showed the type of hands that made him an intriguing draft pick out of Florida State. He played on 46 of the team’s 59 snaps and ran a route on 31 of their 40 dropbacks. With D.J. Moore leaving this game with a shoulder injury, Coleman is a priority add on waiver wires before next week’s game against the Rams.

James Cook rushed 12 times for 75 yards and a touchdown in the Bills’ Week 4 loss to the Patriots.

He added two catches for either yards. This game was never more than a one-score game, so it’s pretty shocking that Cook only had 14 touches. The Patriots did a good job containing him early in the game, apart from his touchdown run, but the Bills simply moved away from the running game too quickly. Cook was gaining huge chunk yards in the second half and should have been fed more carries during the game. With the Bills having their second straight mediocre offensive performance, you have to wonder if they will make it a point to lean on Cook more next week against the Rams.

Chris Rodriguez rushed six times for 35 yards in the Jaguars’ Week 4 win over the Bengals.

Rodriguez entered the game frequently when the Jaguars entered Bengals territory. He has a hold on short-yardage opportunities while also getting some red zone looks, but Bhayshul Tuten is the clear lead back. Rodriguez was out-snapped 36-to-15 but salvaged his fantasy day with a 25-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter. He is a handcuff for fantasy purposes heading into Week 5.

Sean Tucker rushed three times for 10 yards in the Bucs’ Week 4 loss to the Packers.

Bucs OC Zac Robinson talked about getting Tucker the ball more earlier this week. Tucker entered this game with zero touches on offense. Though his role was limited, Robinson subbed him in where it counts the most and Tucker punched in a goal line score in the first half. He still doesn’t have much standalone fantasy value, but Tucker reclaiming the goal line role he had last year would be brutal for Bucky Irving’s fantasy outlook. Tucker is, at best, a touchdown-based RB5 for Week 5 versus Dallas.

Tyson Bagent completed 25-of-34 attempts for 268 yards and one interception in the Bears’ Week 4 win against the Jets, adding four rushes for one yard.

Getting the start after Case Keenum led the Bears to victory in Week 3 against the Eagles, Bagent successfully managed the run-heavy Bears offense. He was inaccurate for stretches of the game, throwing at least two balls that should have been intercepted by the New York secondary. On the day he was 8 percent over his expected completion rate. Bagent targeted Rom Odunze a team-high nine times. He connected with Colston Loveland and Luther Burden III a handful of times on well-times throws to the middle of the field. Bagent will get another start in Week 5 against the Packers with Caleb Williams sidelined. He’ll have some superflex appeal in that matchup.

Hunter Henry caught all five of his targets for 62 yards in a Week 4 win over the Bills.

Henry always seems to produce against the Bills, so this was nothing new. The veteran played on 46 of the team’s 70 snaps and ran a route on 28 of their 43 dropbacks, the second most of any receiving option on the team. He also hauled in an 11-yard catch on 3rd and 10 to ice the game in the fourth quarter. With Eli Raridon (ankle) and Mack Hollins (calf) leaving this game with injuries, Henry could be on the TE1 fringe radar next week against the Raiders.

Bhayshul Tuten rushed 17 times for 73 yards in the Jaguars’ Week 4 win over the Bengals, adding two receptions for 18 yards.

Tuten continued to operate as the Jaguars’ lead back, ripping off a 15-yard carry to open the game. He found success running to the outside edges of the Bengals defense, tallying 91 total yards on the day. However, fantasy managers will be frustrated with the results as Tuten had touchdowns of 44 yards and three yards get called back due to holding penalties while Chris Rodriguez scored late in the game. The good news is Tuten out-snapped Rodriguez 36-to-15 on the day. He is still the lead back, though he cedes short-yardage and clear passing-down opportunities to Rodriguez and LeQuint Allen. Tuten gets enough opportunities to be squarely in the fantasy RB2 range on a weekly basis, he is a top-20 play for Week 5 against the Eagles in London.

Bucky Irving rushed 16 times for 61 yards in the Bucs’ Week 4 loss to the Packers.

A 16-touch outing isn’t bad for Irving, but the touches he did lose were extremely painful. Sean Tucker scored a goal line touchdown late in the second quarter and Kenneth Gainwell caught a touchdown from 10 yards out at the top of the fourth. Irving didn’t even see a target. It was his first game of the year without a catch. Irving remains the lead back for the Bucs, but a lack of high-value touches would cripple his fantasy value. He will be just inside the RB2 range for his Week 5 matchup with the Cowboys.

Dalton Schultz caught 2-of-2 targets for nine yards in Houston’s Week 4 loss to the Cowboys.

Not the most inspiring of #RevengeGame lore. Schultz was outgained by Cade Stover and Brevin Jordan. He’s trending towards TE2 usage with Nico Collins back in the lineup.

Efton Chism III caught 2-of-4 targets for 42 yards and a touchdown in a Week 4 win over the Bills.

Chism III’s touchdown was a spectacular diving one-handed touch in tight coverage that gave the Patriots a late lead over the Bills. It was an unreal grab on a third-down play in the biggest moment of the game. His only other catch was also on a third-and-long to keep a drive alive. With Mack Hollins (calf) leaving this game early, Chishm III played on 30 of the team’s 70 snaps and ran a route on 18 of their 43 dropbacks. The 24-year-old came into today with just five career catches, but he could be in for a bigger role in Week 5. He is still not a priority add in fantasy leagues.
