Perry has not played on offense since his 2023 rookie season with the Saints. The Dolphins also worked out QB Kyron Drones, QB Chandler Rogers, LB Stephen Dix, LB Antonio Grier and WR Brenden Rice.
  • PIT Wide Receiver #87
This move makes sense for the Steelers, who fielded a very thin wide receiver corps in 2025. Perry, 26, last played regular season snaps with the Saints in 2023, catching 12-of-18 targets for 246 yards and four touchdowns.
  • SF Safety #49
Forrest spent time on the Bills, Colts and Steelers’ practice squads this season. He was on the Commanders’ roster from 2021-2024, posting career-bests in pass break-ups (five), interceptions (four) and tackles (66) in 2022. The 49ers also signed TE Hayden Rucci to the practice squad, released WR Javon Baker and signed WR Colton Dowell to a reserve/future contract.
  • DEN Quarterback #4
A tale as true as time: the third quarterback was released at last cuts and found his way to the practice squad. Joining Ehlinger on the Broncos practice squad are: G Calvin Throckmorton, CB Reese Taylor, LB Jordan Turner, FB Adam Prentice, WR Michael Bandy, WR A.T. Perry, CB Jaden Robinson, S Delarrin Turner-Yell, ILB Garret Wallow, TE Caleb Lohner, OL Joe Michalski, LB Levelle Bailey and CB Quinton Newsome.

Perry, 25, has been unavailable this summer due to an undisclosed injury. The former sixth-round selection is certainly a candidate for the Broncos’ practice squad.

R.I.P. to the Ben Sauls trade candidate era, which lasted about 50 minutes. Pittsburgh also waived DL Kyler Baugh, LB Mark Robinson, LB Julius Welschof, DB D’Shawn Jamison, DB Daryl Porter, OL Steve Jones, OL Aiden Williams, TE JJ Galbreath, RB Lew Nichols, WR Max Hurleman and WR Lance McCutcheon.
  • DEN Wide Receiver #87
Perry’s injury was not disclosed. The 25-year-old wide receiver spent time on the Broncos’ practice squad last season and last took regular season snaps in 2023.
  • FA Wide Receiver #17
The Saints waived Perry last week after he dealt with a hand injury and was a healthy scratch to start the season. The former sixth-round pick totaled 12 catches for 246 yards and four touchdowns as a rookie but did not seem to have a role on the 2024 Saints. The Broncos now add him to their practice squad and the big target could get added to Bo Nix’s arsenal at some point.
  • FA Wide Receiver #17
Perry turned some heads as a rookie with a few big plays late in the season. He finished the year with 12 receptions for 246 yards and four scores. Perry missed the start of his second season with a hand injury and never managed to find a role after recovering. He has been a healthy scratch in recent weeks. Perry could get claimed by a team looking for a dart throw at wide receiver.
  • NO Wide Receiver #17
Perry missed Week 1 with the hand issue but got in a full week of practices ahead of the Saints’ matchup with the Cowboys. He will likely start the year behind veteran receiver Cedrick Wilson on the depth chart.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur said the team needs Christian Watson, Jayden Reed and Matthew Golden “out there for as many plays as humanly possible.”

Prior reports indicated that the Packers’ coaching staff realized that their frequent wide receiver rotation was rubbing their stars the wrong way, prompting a positional personnel churn this offseason. LaFleur’s comments confirm the Packers’ starting wide receiver trio is going to play a lot, and fantasy managers should take note. Watson played extremely well in his recent from an ACL tear last year. If that play carries over, he is a shoo-in WR2 with substantial upside. Golden could be in for a Year 2 leap, and Reed could reliably return FLEX value, or better, if his snap share is high enough.

Jaguars RB LeQuint Allen (hip) was limited on Thursday.

Jaguars coach Liam Coen said yesterday that Allen would be a game-time decision for Week 1 against the Browns. If active, he should handle his typical pass-protection duties. If he is inactive, running backs Ameer Abdullah, Chris Rodriguez and Bhayshull Tuten could all take on a little extra work, though projecting the exact usage is challenging.

Ravens DT Nnamdi Madubuike (neck) was limited on Thursday.

Madubuike is seemingly on track to debut with his teammates, though his limited practice participation could result in limited snaps on game day. The interior game-wrecker is returning from a serious neck injury. Even playing on a snap count, Madubuike can make his presence felt.

Giants WR Malik Nabers (knee) told reporters that it is his call whether he suits up or sits out in Week 1 against the Cowboys.

Nabers fielded quite a few questions from reporters this afternoon, with many focusing on who makes the decision for him to play and whether he will be on a snap count. Nabers was adamant that his participation level is entirely his call. Of course, he chose not to share whether he is leaning toward playing or delaying his return, but noted that he is keeping his long-term health and career in mind. Nabers continues to practice in full, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter said earlier today that Nabers is “on track to play.” We lean that way as well, but his usage is tough to project. He is likely best viewed as a WR2 if active.

Colts WR Alec Pierce (heel) was limited on Thursday.

Pierce is technically on track to play, but his continued practice limitations suggest he is still ramping up. If active on Sunday, he would be a boom-bust FLEX, though having him on the field would be a big boost for his teammates. Pierce’s downfield abilities help keep safeties honest, freeing up the short-to-intermediate field depths.

Ravens WR Zay Flowers (hamstring) practiced in full on Thursday.

This is great news. The Ravens’ No. 1 wide receiver should be good to go for fantasy football WR2 duties against the Colts on Sunday. Flowers should log another full session tomorrow, barring a setback. He told reporters yesterday that he is feeling “better than ever.” That now appears to be the case.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (knee) was limited again on Thursday.

The Saints’ presumed passing down specialist is on track to play. Kamara sprained an MCL on August 18th, but the rehab is evidently going well. It is unclear whether Kamara could rotate in when the offense enters scoring position. Consider him a PPR FLEX option.

Saints TE Oscar Delp (hamstring) was not seen practicing on Thursday.

Delp is almost assuredly going to be ruled out tomorrow. The rookie tight end was unlikely to meaningfully challenge TE Juwan Johnson for targets early in the year, and the hamstring strain only reinforces that.

Falcons WR Zachariah Branch (hamstring) was limited on Thursday.

The Falcons’ third-round rookie wide receiver could end up playing this week, but his inability to practice fully will keep him in a pure backup role. Branch does not need to be rostered in 12-team leagues.

Falcons QB Tua Tagovailoa was added to the injury report with an oblique injury on Thursday.

Tagovailoa was seen grabbing at his back before removing himself from team drills earlier today. It turns out he is dealing with an oblique issue. The media viewing session ended before the Falcons began team drills, so it was unclear whether he rejoined his teammates. Backup QB Cooper Rush later told reporters that he took all first-team reps thereafter. Tagovailoa is now firmly in the questionable column for Week 1.
