Malik Nabers caught 5-of-6 targets for 26 yards in the Giants’ Week 3 win over the Titans.

The good news is that Nabers didn’t appear bothered by his shoulder injury and led the Giants with a 27 percent target share. The bad news is everything else. With Jameis Winston under center, the Giants took the air out of the ball and ran 33 times compared to just 22 pass attempts. Winston also stuck mostly to check-down duties, taking any chance of a big play for Nabers off the table. The Giants should be forced to throw more next week, but this isn’t going to be an exciting offense without Jaxson Dart under center. Nabers is likely stuck in the WR2 ranks for Week 4 versus the Cardinals.

It sure didn’t seem like he had great chemistry with Jameis Winston on Monday night, leaving Nabers feeling more like a mid-range WR2 than someone you’d really want to count on to carry you to victory in what will be a windy Week 3 game against the Titans. Still, he’s fully healthy and got in full practices in each of the last two days of the week to clear the injury report.

Nabers speaking to the media is likely also good news for his availability on Sunday. The 23-year-old wideout is practicing and upgraded to full today, so he’s likely to be good to go and has a chance at avoiding a questionable tag on Friday altogether.

Nabers hurt his shoulder in the Giants’ Week 2 loss to the Rams, staying in the game and catching zero passes after the injury. The Giants had a walkthrough practice on Wednesday, listing Nabers as limited. When asked if the 23-year-old had X-rays done, head coach John Harbaugh gave his usual vague answer, saying, “I don’t know.” A limited practice listing indicates Nabers is not dealing with a major issue, but his practice status is worth monitoring leading up to Week 3 against the Titans.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #1
Nabers departed the game at the end of the first quarter with a shoulder injury but was able to return after missing only one drive. His putrid box score can largely be attributed to uneven quarterback play from backup Jameis Winston, whom came on in relief of the injured Jaxson Dart after the team’s first possession. Beyond the fact that fantasy managers were left with a near goose egg from their third round selection, Nabers could be forced to contend with backup-level quarterback play in the coming weeks considering the mechanism of Dart’s knee injury. Even so, it will be difficult to sit Nabers in a cake matchup with the Titans in Week 3, making him a classic hold-your-breath start.

Nabers left at the end of the first quarter with an apparent shoulder injury but returned to the game half way through the second quarter. Nabers has had a right shoulder issue dating back to his college days, something that could help to explain how he was injured on what looked to be a routine play. Fantasy managers can breathe a quick sigh of relief, at least for the time being.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #1
Nabers appeared to injure his shoulder late in the first quarter on what looked to be a routine play. He went up to attempt a contested catch and came down holding his shoulder. He immediately walked off the field and was seen in visible pain while be attended to by trainers. The team deemed him questionable to return shortly thereafter. Nabers caught 1-of-2 targets for one yard prior to departing.

Nabers told NFL insider Josina Anderson after the Giants’ Week 1 win against Dallas that he had canceled his family’s trip to the season opener “because I thought I wasn’t playing.” It was Nabers’ first action since tearing his ACL in 2025 and undergoing a somewhat complicated recovery that made him iffy for Week 1. Nabers easily led the team in air yards and targets on his way to six catches for 69 scoreless yards against the Cowboys. He ran a route on 70 percent of the Giants’ drop backs — a rate that’s likely to rise in the coming weeks barring setbacks to his knee.

Nabers took his decision to play all the way up to inactives, ultimately deeming himself healthy enough to take the field against a divisional rival. Offensive coordinator Matt Nagy didn’t take long to knock the rust off his alpha receiver, giving him a quick out on his first target to get his feet wet and get into the flow of the game. Nabers would make numerous athletic plays from that point forward, combining with newcomer tight end Isaiah Likely to account for 17 targets on only 29 Jaxson Dart pass attempts. Fantasy managers can likely project that volume forward as the offense appeared to run entirely through its top two options through the air in the opening game. Nabers gets a difficult matchup against the Rams in Week 2, where he remains a back end WR1 in fantasy circles.

Even the lead up to the game did not come without its drama as Nabers was reportedly late to show up to the stadium. He would eventually make it to the field to test out his knee. The decision to play was left up to the talented receiver, who apparently felt well enough during his on-field workout to make his return from a torn ACL. Inactive for the Giants are RB Najee Harris, S Jason Pinnock, CB Nic Jones, OL J.C. Davis, TE Thomas Fidone II, DL Bobby Jamison-Travis, and WR Dalen Cambre.

According to Schefter, the Giants still haven’t gotten clarity from Nabers, who is working his way back from the torn ACL he suffered early in the 2025 season. The Giants elevated two receivers from their practice squad to the active roster over the weekend, signaling that they think there’s a chance Nabers sits. If he does, Malachi Fields, Odell Beckham, and Darnell Mooney would be their starting receiver trio. We can’t recommend any of them in fantasy, even if Nabers is ruled out.

Rams coach Sean McVay said he expects WR Puka Nacua (groin) to play in Week 4 against the Eagles.

McVay also said that Nacua will be limited at today’s practice. Nacua has not played since injuring his groin in Week 1 against the 49ers. If active in Week 4, he will be a no-brainer WR1, though it would be great to see him log two full practice sessions over the next two days. The Rams’ pass-catching corps has dealt with an influx of injuries in recent weeks. Getting their star player back would be huge.

Buccaneers OLB Rueben Bain (shoulder/groin) did not practice.

Bain could be headed toward another game-day absence. Buccaneers LB Josiah Trotter (shoulder) is back on the practice field, though. The Buccaneers face the Packers in Week 4.

Chris Godwin (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday.

Godwin’s history of lower-leg injuries makes this a little bit concerning. The veteran wide receiver is already set to catch passes from a backup quarterback. If active, he may be playing on an injured ankle. He can only be viewed as a boom-bust FLEX at this time.

Trey Hendrickson (finger) did not practice Wednedsay.

Hendrickson broke his finger a few weeks ago. He failed to practice last Wednesday and was ultimately cleared from the injury report on Friday. We expect a similar outcome this week. Hendrickson has one sack on 14 pressures through three weeks.

Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving (glute) was limited on Wednesday.

Irving is on track to play in Week 4 against the Packers, but monitoring his practice participation is worthwhile. Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles said that Irving was “not on the team’s injury report” when asked by reporters why the team’s starting running back spent much of the fourth quarter on the sideline. So much for that. For now, expect him to play and be startable as an RB2, as usual.

Jakobi Meyers (thumb) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.

Meyers has been playing through the thumb issue all year and that won’t change in Week 4. With Brian Thomas Jr.'s role disappearing, Meyers has quietly emerged as the No. 2 receiver on one of the league’s best offenses. He remains a solid FLEX play for his Week 4 date with the Bengals.

Zay Flowers (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.

Flowers played on a pitch count last week but still amassed 84 yards on five grabs. He was listed as questionable ahead of the game and Baltimore took his status down to inactives 90 minutes before kickoff. A limited practice to open the week means we should have less drama surrounding his availability for Week 4. Even if he doesn’t get up to a full complement of snaps on Sunday, Flowers will be, at worst, a WR2.

Lamar Jackson (back) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.

Head coach Jesse Minter said after practice that Jackson was dealing with “something small.” Both his comments and the limited status suggest this is nothing more than a minor issue, though a full practice tomorrow would undoubtedly ease the minds of Ravens fans and fantasy managers. Barring a setback, Jackson will remain a top-end QB1 for his Week 4 date with the Titans.

Commanders TE Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) was limited on Wednesday.

Okonkwo was limited today after traveling with the team to London last night. Both signs are positive. Okonkwo has not played since injuring his hamstring in Week 1. If active, he will likely just be a boom-bust TE2.

Dalton Risner (knee) did not practice Wednesday.

Risner signed a one-year, $5 million contract extension with the Bengals in the offseason. He has started all three games at right guard this year. Risner has allowed just three pressures this year and has been a solid contributor in the run game as well. Jalen Rivers took his reps in practice today, meaning he is the next man up if Risner can’t go on Sunday.
