Chris Bell (knee) is not on Miami’s final Week 5 injury report.

He’ll be a FLEX dart throw against the Bengals. Bell continues to get listed with his knee injury as the Dolphins bring him along slowly, but he seems wheels up for Sundays as things currently stand.

The Dolphins have been managing Bell’s practice reps for a few weeks, but it hasn’t been an issue on Sundays. He ran 85 percent of the routes in Week 4 and his route share has gone up in every game. He is in the WR5 range headed into Week 5 versus the Bengals.

Bell’s Week 4 outing was heartbreaking. His near-68-yard touchdown on the Dolphins’ third drive will live with him, and fantasy managers alike, for a while. Malik Willis rolled right out of the pocket, facing pressure and lobbed a wobbly pass to Bell downfield. The rookie wide receiver caught it, took off downfield, stumbled through a leg grab and ran into the end zone. Unfortunately, the officials determined Bell had stepped out of bounds, along the right sideline, during the scramble drill. Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley did not challenge it. Upon replay, one can make the case that his pinky toe’s shadow grazed the white line, but it was an awfully close call. Aside from that, Willis sent him a wobbly, incomplete overthrow beyond the sticks on the Dolphins’ first drive and later tried to force a fadeaway jumper to him 25 yards downfield. The pass was contested and fell incomplete. The talent is there. Despite the rough outing, Bell warrants FLEX consideration against the Saints in Week 5.
  • MIA Wide Receiver #18
Bell posted a 4/67 receiving line last week, though the Dolphins are still managing his reps. The Vikings’ blitz-based defense poses problems for Miami, limiting Bell to WR4 status this week. The rookie wide receiver should be rostered in 12-team formats.

Douglas will miss his second straight game with an ankle injury, paving the way for fellow rookie Chris Bell to build on his Week 3 performance in which he went for 4-67-0 on eight targets. Bell and all Dolphins pass-catchers will be tough for fantasy managers to trust as anything more than WR4s on the road against a Vikings defense that could give them fits all afternoon.
  • MIA Wide Receiver #18
The Dolphins’ ascending rookie wide receiver is on track to face the Vikings this week, although he continues to be limited by his surgically repaired knee. Bell should be viewed as a FLEX starter with an admittedly tough matchup against the Vikings.
  • MIA Wide Receiver #7
We expect to see Douglas listed with a second DNP next to his name today, putting him on the wrong side of questionable for Week 4 against the Vikings. Were he indeed to miss this week’s game, WRs Chris Bell (knee) and Malik Washington would benefit. Washington’s target volume is somewhat intriguing, but Bell looks like the far more talented player.
  • MIA Wide Receiver #18
Bell is coming off a career-best 4/67 stat line after having his practice reps managed last week. The Dolphins’ rookie wide receiver is on track to face the Vikings this week. He profiles as a WR4/FLEX in what is admittedly a tough matchup on paper.
  • MIA Wide Receiver #18
With Caleb Douglas sidelined with an ankle issue, talented third-rounder Bell finally broke out after totaling just one catch for 25 yards through the Dolphins’ first two contests. The No. 94 overall pick looked big and explosive with the ball in his hands, and could have had a much bigger day had Malik Willis been able to find him on what might have been a pair of long touchdowns. Bell’s box scores figure to remain inconsistent going forward — Willis is a dual-threat quarterback with a bevy of young, unproven wideouts — but he is certainly worth taking a flier on if currently un-rostered in your 12- team league. Bell’s pre-draft profile as a size/speed menace who only fell because of his torn ACL looked 100 percent accurate against the Chiefs.
  • MIA Wide Receiver #18
Bell upgraded to full participation on Friday after two limited sessions. The rookie wide receiver has been bothered by fluid and soreness in his surgically repaired knee since Week 1, so the Dolphins have limited his snaps in-game. With fellow rookie WR Caleb Douglas (ankle) sidelined for Week 3, the coaching staff could draw up a couple of extra plays with Bell in mind, though he can only be viewed as a WR4.
  • MIA Wide Receiver #18
Bell said Thursday that he expects to play, but Hafley added to that expectation when speaking with the media Friday. The rookie third-rounder has drawn just three targets this season while running 31 routes, but he could see an uptick in targets with Caleb Douglas (ankle) officially ruled out. Bell will be hard to trust as anything more than a WR4 in an offense that currently ranks 30th in total pass attempts and 24th in passing yards.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Lamar Jackson (ankle) has a “real chance” to return in Week 6 against the Browns.

Jackson was ruled out for Week 5 on Friday after failing to practice once this week. Rapoport added that Jackson has been “working like crazy” to get back on the field next week. Per Rapoport, that is Jackson’s goal. Tyler Huntley will start for as long as Jackson remains sidelined.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports Terry McLaurin is a “true game-time decision” for Week 5 against the Giants.

McLaurin is listed as questionable for Week 5 after getting in a single limited practice on Friday. Even if he does play, McLaurin will likely be on a pitch count. Stefon Diggs has already been ruled out with a hamstring issue of his own. Rookie Antonio Williams will be asked to step up whether or not McLaurin is active.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports Keenan Allen (groin) is expected to play in Week 5 against the Steelers.

Allen missed Week 4 with the groin issue but returned to practice this week and even managed a full session on Friday. The team still listed him as questionable, though he appeared to be on the right side of that designation heading into the weekend. Allen will be a low-ceiling WR4 for his date with the Steelers.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Jake Matthews (groin) is expected to play in Week 5 against the Ravens.

The Falcons’ left tackle has started 199 consecutive games in his career. His streak appeared to be in jeopardy early in the week, but the iron-man tackle practiced in full on Friday, putting him on the right side of questionable for today’s game. He should be good to go for Week 5.

Barmore missed Week 4 with the shoulder injury but appears to be good to go for today’s matchup with Las Vegas. He was listed as questionable after practicing in full on Friday. Baremore has one sack on six pressures this season.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Rhamondre Stevenson (knee) is expected to play in Week 5 against the Raiders.

Stevenson already told reporters on Friday that he was “ready to go”, so this news item doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Stevenson will continue to operate as the Pats’ top option in high-leverage situations, though he could cede more work between the 20s to TreVeyon Henderson. Both backs are stuck as low-ceiling RB3 options this week.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Marlon Humphrey (hamstring/calf) is expected to play in Week 5 against the Falcons.

Humphrey logged one limited practice this week before being listed as questionable for Week 5. He’s one of several key defenders dealing with an injury heading into Sunday Night Football. EDGE Trey Hendrickson has already been ruled out, while S Kyle Hamilton is questionable with a groin injury. Even with some missing names, this defense still looks like a true test for Michael Penix.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports, “There are doctors around the NFL who believe it’s a matter of when, not if, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels hurts his left elbow again.”

Schefter immediately added the caveat that the “overwhelming opinion” among doctors was that playing with a brace was a viable option. Daniels reportedly contemplated surgery after dislocating his elbow for the second time in less than a year. He opted against it and missed two games. Daniels is now set to return for Week 5 against the Giants. The Commanders could scale back his rushing for the time being, but OC David Blough already dismissed the idea that the playbook would be limited because of Daniels’ elbow injury.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Alvin Kamara (back) is expected to play in Week 5 against the Vikings.

Kamara is listed as questionable with a back injury. He logged two limited practices this week. In the absence of Travis Etienne, Kamara has become the leader of a three-back committee. He only saw seven carries last week but did manage five catches on seven targets. Kamara is a PPR RB3 for his date with the Vikings.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Justin Jefferson will work out pregame to determine his status for Week 5 against the Saints.

The same is true of Jordan Addison. Both Minnesota wideouts are currently listed as questionable for Week 5. Jefferson is from Louisiana and has already told reporters he plans to play in the homecoming game. We expect him to suit up, but fantasy managers should have a backup plan for him and Addison to be safe.
