Rashid Shaheed (knee) is questionable to return in Week 7 against the Chiefs.

Shaheed was involved in a collision with teammate Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the end zone on an interception in the waning moments of the first half and did not retake the field out of the break. Tory Horton received the kickoff to begin the second half, after which Shaheed was deemed questionable to return with a knee injury. Expect Cooper Kupp and Horton to see a small bump in opportunity behind Smith-Njigba for the remainder of the game. Shaheed caught 2-of-3 targets for one yard prior to departing.

Shaheed received positive news on his knee injury that caused him to leave Sunday’s blowout win over the Chiefs, but there’s a pretty good chance that he’s going to miss at least Week 8’s game against Chicago on Monday. Assuming that’s the case, it will lead to more snaps for Tory Horton both as a receiver and as the primary returner.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #22
Macdonald didn’t elaborate on how much time Shaheed could miss, if any, but it doesn’t sound like this is expected to be a long-term injury based on what he had to say on Monday. Shaheed’s impact is largely felt in the punt and kick return game, as he has just 16 receptions for 163 scoreless yards on the season for Seattle. We will update his practice status throughout the week, but Shaheed won’t have any fantasy relevance even if he does suit up next week against the Bears.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #22
The Seahawks’ sporadic producer will be on the field against the Chiefs this week. Shaheed has been involved as a receiver and as a rusher, scoring touchdowns in consecutive weeks. He offers a low floor, but he makes for a viable FLEX starter this week.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #22
Shaheed will be good to go for the Seahawks’ Week 7 game against the Chiefs, barring a setback. Unfortunately, his terribly volatile performances keep him in the boom-bust FLEX tier despite four teams being on bye. For what it’s worth, this could be a fantasy-friendly game environment.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #22
Shaheed was heavily involved in the Seahawks’ high-volume passing game in Week 6. He seemingly came out of the week banged-up and will open this week as a limited practice participant. Shaheed competes with Cooper Kupp for the No. 2 pass-catching role on the team but is only a boom-or-bust option for deep leagues at this point.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #22
Shaheed’s eight targets were a product of 51 Sam Darnold pass attempts in a game the Seahawks could not find any room to run on the ground. He lost a fumble on a fluke play in the second quarter in which he rolled over the tackling defender, only for the defender’s knee to knock the football loose before Shaheed’s rear end touched the playing surface. he would fumble a punt return in the fourth quarter but easily had time to regain control before the ball was in real trouble. Shaheed remains the third option through the air for an offense typically not seeing this level of volume, making him a touchdown-or-bust fantasy option, for the time being. That doesn’t change ahead of a Week 6 meeting with the Chiefs in Seattle.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #22
It wasn’t a ton of volume, but it was easily Shaheed’s biggest offensive day of the year. He took a pitch for a touchdown for his first score of 2026. He was once again not involved in the passing game, however, and he didn’t do much as a returner again, as well. Shaheed will be back in action — and should not be in lineups — against the 49ers in Week 5.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #22
Once again, Shaheed didn’t make an impact, with his biggest play being a drop that resulted in a first down because of a questionable personal foul after the play. The 28-year-old also hasn’t made an impact on special teams, and while his big-play ability is almost assuredly still there, fantasy managers can’t count on it right now. A chance to get going comes in Week 4 versus the Chargers at home.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #22
The Seahawks tried to get Shaheed involved early on, but he largely made his presence felt on special teams, returning two kicks for 47 yards and three punts for 29 yards. Shaheed was unable to haul in his first target on the Seahawks’ second drive. He got open on a post route from the slot on the ensuing drive, and QB Drew Lock hit him for a 23-yard gain. He caught a four-yard pass in the flats immediately after that. Later, on the sixth drive, Lock fired a pass at Shaheed 34 yards downfield, but the coverage defender grazed the ball, altering the trajectory and leading to an incompletion that went off Shaheed’s fingertips. Shaheed also fumbled the second half’s opening kick return, but Seattle recovered it and advanced the ball 30 yards downfield. Shaheed remains a big-play-dependent FLEX against the Commanders next week.
  • SEA Wide Receiver #22
Shaheed caught multiple passes in 4-of-12 games as a Seahawk last year. He stayed the course in Week 1 with another single-catch outing. Shaheed simply can’t earn targets in an offense that revolves around getting Jaxon Smith-Njigba the ball at all levels. His versatility and elite skills on both punt and kick returns are valuable for the Seahawks in real life, but they don’t put fantasy points on the table. He is not on the FLEX menu headed into Week 2.

Panthers named DL coach Todd Wash as interim defensive coordinator.

Wash will take over for the now-departed Ejiro Evero, who was dismissed shortly after the Panthers’ Week 8 loss to the Packers. Wash, who has been with the Panthers since 2023, spent five seasons as the Jaguars’ defensive coordinator (2016 to 2020), with his defense finishing top five in both yards and points allowed in 2017 and 2018. Wash’s first task will be finding ways to improve a run defense that ranks among the worst in the league through the first half of the season, but given that his fingerprints are all over the defensive line, it’s hard to imagine a noticeable improvement is on the way over the final 10 weeks of the season.

Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said Breece Hall (quad) will be limited in Friday’s practice.

This will be the third straight limited practice for Hall, which is an encouraging sign as he looks to return to action since last playing in Week 3 against the Lions. If he’s active, Hall will likely find himself in a bit more of a timeshare with Braelon Allen, who has rushed for 357 yards and a touchdown on 72 carries in Hall’s absence while averaging a solid 5.0 YPC. We will provide an update on Hall’s Week 8 availability when the team announces it, but at worst, we would expect him to carry a questionable tag entering the weekend.

    Panthers fired DC Ejiro Evero.

Just hours after a 27-19 loss to the Packers that saw the Panthers fall below .500 for the first time this season, the team has decided to part ways with Evero after nearly four full seasons with the team. Evero was a holdover from Frank Reich’s 2023 staff and drew a handful of head coaching interviews during the last hiring cycle after his defense finished 15th in points allowed and 16th in yards allowed. The Panthers’ best defensive performances of the season came in games where Cooper Rush and Tanner McKee made starts, but they’ve allowed 35.2 points per game when facing opposing teams’ QB1s this season. From 2022 to 2023, Evero’s defenses ranked seventh and fourth in yards allowed per game, but his units have struggled in more recent seasons. They have particularly struggled on the ground and rank near the bottom of the league in rushing yards allowed and YPC allowed, while allowing a league-high 12 rushing touchdowns. He’ll likely get another job in a coaching role next offseason, in hopes of earning another coordinator job over the next few seasons.

Panthers head coach Dave Canales said Bryce Young’s knee injury may be limiting his mobility.

Young declined to get into details about his knee injury after Thursday night’s loss to the Packers, saying, “Everyone’s dealing with something; it’s no excuse,” when speaking with the media after the game. Canales didn’t seem overly concerned about Young’s injury after the game, but did acknowledge that he didn’t appear to have the “quick, make you miss” aspect to his game against the Packers. Young was listed on the Panthers’ injury report throughout the week, but was also a full participant in practice. Young’s knee could be partly to blame for the six sacks he took in Thursday’s loss, and his health will be one to monitor in the weeks ahead, especially with the team already past its Week 5 bye. Assuming he’s good to go in Week 9, Young will face an uphill battle against a stout Broncos defense.

Tucker Kraft caught 6-of-6 targets for 53 yards with a touchdown in the Packers’ Week 8 win over the Panthers.

Kraft was able to bring in a score between a pair of defenders to give the Pack a 6-0 lead in the first quarter. That’s back-to-back games for the tight end with a score, and three in the first half of 2026. Kraft has seen a similar amount of involvement throughout the campaign, and he’ll likely put up a similar statline — hopefully with a touchdown for fantasy managers who roster him — in Week 9 versus the Patriots.

Christian Watson caught 8-of-10 targets for 113 yards in the Packers’ Week 8 win over the Panthers.

The fact that Watson was able to even play in the second half was incredible, as the 27-year-old was forced to be examined at the hospital following a chest injury. He didn’t do much after putting up 100 yards in the first half, but again, that’s not really the story here. Watson told reporters after the game that he was coughing up blood and suffered a fractured rib before returning. Assuming no setbacks, he’s a WR1 candidate for Week 9 against the Patriots, but keep in mind Christian Gonzalez — on top of this injury — can make things difficult.

Matthew Golden caught 7-of-13 targets for 79 yards and a touchdown in the Packers’ Week 8 win over the Panthers.

Golden is rarely boring, that’s for sure. He dropped two passes, and one of those was a wide-open touchdown in the second quarter. The good news for Golden, Jordan Love and fantasy managers was that he was wide open again on the next play, and he was able to bring that pass in. Golden’s athleticism and ability to get down field is unquestionable, but to say the efficiency isn’t there is an understatement. He’ll be back at it in Week 9 against the Patriots.

Jalen Coker caught 2-of-5 targets for 38 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers’ Week 8 loss to the Packers while also losing a fumble.

Coker’s fumble came on the last play of the game as the Panthers played pitchy woo woo in their attempt to tie the game. The 24-year-old didn’t have a catch in the first half, but salvaged his fantasy day — to a point, anyway — with a 26-yard touchdown from Bryce Young. The 24-year-old has just three catches over the last two games, and he’ll try and get things going against the Broncos in Week 9.

Tetairoa McMillan caught 6-of-11 targets for 58 yards in the Panthers’ Week 8 loss to the Packers.

McMillan had a long gain of just 14 yards, as Bryce Young just didn’t have time to get the ball down the field and wasn’t particularly accurate on the rare times he did. The wideout was targeted early and often, but it was an inefficient effort for the 23-year-old, at best. Even as the clear top option in this passing attack — all due respect to Jalen Coker — there’s a ton of volatility in McMillan’s fantasy profile, and that won’t change for Week 9 against the Broncos.

Chuba Hubbard rushed 22 times for 81 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers’ Week 8 loss to the Packers, adding seven receptions for 38 yards.

Hubbard was easily the most effective offensive player for the Panthers, but that’s at least partially an insult to everyone else as much as it was compliment to him. The tailback was able to make the most of the limited rushing room, and with Bryce Young having zero time to throw the football, he was a frequent target of Young’s checkdowns. Trevor Etienne received just one carry for one yard, meanwhile. Hubbard’s usage makes him a high-end RB2 for Week 9 against the Broncos, even if it’s more floor than ceiling.
