Paulson

Paulson has a nice history at the Reno-Tahoe with three Top 10s(1999, 2003, 2004) in six career starts.

For the past three years, you always have to hold your breath when you see Paulson eke his way into a field. In fact, he usually withdraws before his number is called. Shoulder surgery in 2006 has turned him in a very part-time player.

Paulson has worked mostly for the PGA Tour radio this year, but he has played twice on the Nationwide and once on the PGA Tours this season and has made the cut in all three events.

This will be Paulson’s first start of the season, but he has a decent record at the Buick Invitational of five Top 25 finishes in 11 starts.

Paulson is probably best know for the work that he does on the PGA Tour Network. He did play early this season at the Buick Invitational, but he missed the cut.

Paulson had mentioned on the PGA Tour Network that he most likely wouldn’t play in the Puerto Rico Open, because he hadn’t worked on his game since the Buick Invitational.

Paulson shot a round of 66 to Monday qualify for the AT&T Classic. He has a very nice history at TPC Sugerloaf with a T-10 in 2005, a T-12 in 2002 and a third place in 2001. The other three players that qualified were: Chip Deason, who shot 64, and Andy Choi plus Edward Loar, who both shot 67.
