Jaylen Morris has reportedly signed a training camp contract with the San Antonio Spurs.
Morris last played in Greece and the G-League, and he’ll now have a chance to play in the NBA for the Spurs. Even if he makes the final cut, don’t bother with him in fantasy.

Tre Jones scored 23 points on 9-of-19 shooting (1-of-3 3-pointers) and added four rebounds and three assists in 29 minutes as the Spurs lost to the Bulls 92-89 in summer league action on Tuesday.

Similar to other second-year players, Jones is using summer league to gain some experience and prove that he belongs as he is matching up against many players who do not have NBA experience. Jones certainly looked more confident and assertive on Tuesday evening. San Antonio also got 20 points from Jaylen Morris who went 8-of-11 from the floor (3-of-4 3-pointers) with five rebounds one assist and one steal. Former Cavaliers guard Malik Newman scored 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting (2-of-5 3-pointers) with six rebounds, four assists, and one steal.

Jaylen Morris signed a contract with Aris Thessaloniki of the Greek A1 league.
Morris spent most of last season on a two-way contract with the Bucks. He appeared in four games for Milwaukee before the Bucks waived him in January.

The Bucks have waived guard Jaylen Morris.
Morris was on a two-way contract and only made four brief appearances with the Bucks. We’ll let you know where he resurfaces.
  • FA Shooting Guard #16
Jaylen Morris scored two points with two rebounds in 12 minutes during his NBA debut against the Pacers on Wednesday.
He surprisingly checked in ahead of Malcolm Delaney, but it may have just been because the Hawks wanted to get him minutes. Leave Morris on the wire.
  • FA Shooting Guard #16
Jaylen Morris is expected to receive another 10-day deal.
That means he’ll be ready to roll for Sunday against the Bulls. Considering the matchup against a fellow lotto team, Morris could be looking at minutes in the 20s.
  • FA Shooting Guard #16
Jaylen Morris started the second half of Friday’s game vs. the Pacers, scoring a career-high nine points in 25 minutes with two rebounds, two assists, one block, two steals and one triple.
Taurean Prince was benched for poor play and the game was a complete blowout, so we can’t put too much stock into this. Morris just signed his second 10-day contract and this was his best game so far, but he’s still well off the fantasy radar.
  • FA Shooting Guard #16
Jaylen Morris (ankle) remains out for Friday against the Warriors.
He was expected to miss two weeks back on Mar. 12, so maybe he has a chance to play in the next one. Isaiah Taylor will get most of the backup PG minutes and some SG minutes tonight.
  • FA Shooting Guard #16
Jaylen Morris (left ankle) won’t return after exiting early on Sunday.
Morris needed help getting into the locker room and his absence leaves the Hawks especially thin since Dennis Schroder (elbow) and Malcolm Delaney (ankle) are also unavailable. Isaiah Taylor should be very busy as the starting PG, and Josh Maggette should absorb playing time as his primary backup on Sunday.
  • Point Guard #4
Josh Magette played a career-high 22 minutes on Sunday, handing out eight assists with seven points and a pair of rebounds.
Just how short-handed were the Hawks today? They finished this game without Dennis Schroder, Kent Bazemore, DeAndre Bembry, Malcolm Delaney and Jaylen Morris. Magette earned backup PG minutes and would be worth a look if guys like Schroder, Delaney and Morris miss more time, but that’s not a given. Just put him on your radar in deep leagues.
