The verdict is in and pending an appeal by Joe Gibbs Racing, Matt Kenseth will be suspended for the next two Sprint Cup Series races after intentionally wrecking Joey Logano at Martinsville Speedway.
Kenseth’s fellow competitors have begun chiming in with their thoughts on the punishment, including his Joe Gibb’s Racing teammate, Denny Hamlin. Hamlin is labeling his tweets with #FreeMatt.
Here’s a look at how other drivers are reacting to the news.

Thought it was pretty clear from drivers reactions after the race that Joey broke driver code. Matt made sure it was enforced. #freematt

What's wrong with a good old fashioned ass whipping? I always felt like if I had one coming that was a better option than tearing up cars.

Every race of the chase, Nascar reminds drivers not in the chase,to not mess with the championship. This tells everyone how serious they are

I don't even know what to say about that penalty.... There is always a line between aggressive and wrecking somebody.
