Utah Jazz star Gordon Hayward lost the ball on Friday night. A dribbling, rolling basketball went through his legs and Atlanta Hawks forward Kent Bazemore scooped it up.
Hayward knew he had to do something, so he used his length.
As Bazemore ran down the lane with the ball, Hayward followed closely but kept his distance. When Bazemore went up with the ball at the rim, Hayward pounced and delivered a huge chasedown block.
If you’re going to turn the ball over, that’s pretty much the best outcome you can hope for.
