Not everybody wants to play for the Knicks.

Grant Hill has decided to stay with Steve Nash — and the warm winter weather of Phoenix — and has agreed to a one-year, $6.5 million deal to play for the Suns this season, reports Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic.

The Suns were long considered the favorite to keep Hill from the start, but the Knicks made a strong run late and the Bulls and Spurs made offers as well. To compete the Suns upped their offer from the original $5 million.

It was a tough decision for Hill both in terms of basketball — the Knicks are the up-and-coming team — and lifestyle as Hill and his family are established in Phoenix.

This is a one-year deal, after which Hill may move on or may retire, depending on how he feels.
