Isaiah Thomas says Dennis Schroder is lying, didn’t insult Hawks PG’s mother (VIDEO)

Atlanta Hawks point guard Dennis Schroder was not happy after Friday night’s game against the Boston Celtics, and not just because Isaiah Thomas hit a game-winning jumper to beat the Hawks, 103-101.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Schroder said Thomas took their rivalry too far, making alleged comments about Schroder’s mother.

Via AJC:

“I’m playing basketball,” Schroder said afterward. “If he think that he got to curse at my mom or say some dumb stuff about my family, that has nothing to do with basketball. That’s his choice. I’ve got too much class for that. Next one, we are going to get it.”

Thomas, however, straight up denied that his trash talk was about anything other than basketball.

The Celtics point guard responded to the AJC story on Twitter, saying it never happened:

Thomas also spoke to reporters after the incident saying, “I don’t talk about nobody’s mom. I don’t cuss at nobody’s mom. Whatever he said, that’s a 100% lie and he knows that.”

Meanwhile, Thomas was clearly heard giving Schroder the business to the Atlanta crowd, telling them their point guard “ain’t nothing” during the game.

The plot thickens.
