Nicolas Laprovittola is a San Antonio Spurs training camp invite. After channeling fellow Argentinian Manu Ginobili by five-holing Derrick Williams, he may well just have to make the roster.
Laprovittola gave Williams the up-and-way-under fake for a pretty bounce pass bucket to Kyle Anderson during a 108-100 loss to the Heat on Friday night.
The 26-year-old prospect is fighting for a final roster spot in San Antonio, who admittedly might need some professional guard help as rookie Dejounte Murray rounds into form. Laprovittola has been a pro since he was 17. With Tony Parker slowing down, it’s entirely possible Laprovittola makes the 15th roster spot for Gregg Popovich.
One of the best ways of getting that last spot is to keep doing Manu Ginobili things, one would imagine.
