Fred Hoiberg, long-rumored to replace Tom Thibodeau in Chicago, was reportedly unsure about jumping from Iowa State to the NBA due to health concerns after heart surgery.

Others seem much more certain about him joining the Bulls.

Vincent Goodwill of CSN Chicago:

Hoiberg’s name has been floating around this particular job for some months now, and league sources tell CSNChicago.com they expect him to be the next coach of the Chicago Bulls.

There are, at least nominally, other candidates – including Alvin Gentry and Adrian Griffin.

But I’m taking Hoiberg over the field.
