Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon ruled wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and running back Emari Demercado out earlier this week and he added a couple more players to the list on Friday.

Gannon told reporters that linebacker Baron Browning and right tackle Jonah Williams will not play against the Jaguars.

Browning also missed last week’s loss to the 49ers with a concussion and will need to clear the protocol in order to return to action in Week 13. Browning has 16 tackles, two sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery in nine games this season.

Gannon said that Williams needs surgery to repair his shoulder injury and he will be placed on injured reserve.

The Cardinals will have to wait at least another week to have one of their top offensive weapons back on the field.

In his Wednesday press conference, head coach Jonathan Gannon told reporters that receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.

Harrison recently had his appendix removed and did not play in the Week 11 loss to the 49ers.

He’s recorded 34 receptions for 525 yards with four touchdowns in nine games this season.

Running back Emari Demarcado has also been ruled out with his ankle injury suffered on Sunday.

However, running back Trey Benson’s 21-day practice window has been opened. Gannon noted the team will evaluate Benson day by day to determine if he’ll be available for Week 12.

The Cardinals are changing punters.

After five games, the Cardinals waived Pat O’Donnell on Tuesday. The team also released linebacker Jared Bartlett from the active roster and defensive lineman Anthony Goodlow from the practice squad.

The team signed Bartlett to the active roster before Sunday’s loss to the 49ers.

The Cardinals did not announce a new punter.

They signed O’Donnell after placing Blake Gillikin on injured reserve with a back injury. In his five games, O’Donnell averaged 42.2 yards per punt with a net average of 36.2 yards. Three of his 12 punts landed inside the 20.

He had a punt blocked and recovered for a touchdown against the Cowboys.

Gillikin averaged 51.7 yards per punt.

The punter also serves as the holder for Chad Ryland’s kicking attempts.

The Cardinals host the Jaguars on Sunday.

The Cardinals are dealing with another injury at running back.

Emari Demercado left Sunday’s loss to the 49ers and Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that he has been diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain. Demercado is expected to miss this week’s game against the Jaguars as a result.

James Conner and Trey Benson are on injured reserve for Arizona, so Demercado’s injury leaves them with Bam Knight and Michael Carter in the backfield. They also have Jermar Jefferson on the practice squad.

Demercado has 241 rushing yards on 31 carries and he also has eight catches for 64 yards and a touchdown. He also appeared to have a long rushing touchdown against the Titans in Week 5, but officials ruled he let go of the ball before crossing into the end zone and the fumble went out of bounds for a touchback.
