Khalil Herbert just joined the Bengals a couple of days ago, but he’s set to suit up for this week’s game.

Per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Herbert is expected to make his Cincinnati debut against Baltimore tonight.

Herbert, 26, had fallen out of the rotation in Chicago before he was traded before the deadline. He’s taken just eight carries for 16 yards with a touchdown this year and caught two passes for 4 yards. Last season, Herbert totaled 745 yards from scrimmage with 611 yards on the ground and 20 catches for 134 yards.

The Bengals had a need at running back with Zack Moss sidelined by a neck injury.

Quarterback Joe Burrow said that if necessary, he can lean over and tell Herbert what to do in in the backfield pre-snap.

Kickoff between the Bengals and Ravens is set for 8:15 p.m. ET.

Lamar Jackson is good to go for Thursday Night Football.

The Ravens quarterback returned to a full practice Wednesday and does not have an injury designation.

His knee injury, which disappeared from the report Monday, kept him out of practice Tuesday. Jackson missed two practices with knee and back injuries last week.

He played in Sunday’s rout of the Broncos, but while Jackson had a maximum passer rating of 158.3, he ran only three times for 4 yards.

The Ravens ruled out tight end Isaiah Likely (hamstring) and defensive end Brent Urban (concussion) to play Thursday night. Neither player practiced all week.

Cornerback Jayln Armour-Davis (knee) is doubtful, and running backs Rasheen Ali (ankle) and Keaton Mitchell (knee) are questionable. The Ravens would have to activate Mitchell back to the active roster Thursday for him to play against the Bengals.

It looks like the Bengals will be without wide receiver Tee Higgins again on Thursday night.

Higgins has missed the last two games with a quad injury and he is listed as doubtful to play against the Ravens. He did not take part in practice at all this week.

Wideout Charlie Jones also did not practice and he’s also listed as doubtful due to a groin injury. Third-round pick Jermaine Burton, who was a healthy scratch last weekend, is expected to be part of the receiver group on Thursday.

Left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. (knee, fibula) did not play last week and is listed as questionable after a pair of limited practices. Defensive tackle B.J. Hill (rib) moved from out of practice to limited on Wednesday and drew a questionable tag as well. Running back Chase Brown (rib), defensive end Sam Hubbard (hamstring), and quarterback Joe Burrow (right wrist) have no designations.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes felt he avoided a serious ankle injury after Monday night’s overtime win over the Buccaneers and he’s still feeling good about where things stand on Wednesday

Mahomes initially hurt the ankle in Week Eight against the Raiders and said he was scared when it happened again on Monday night, but he plans to be on the practice field on Wednesday without any limitations on what he’ll be able to do.

“It’s doing good, you know,” Mahomes said. “Obviously when you have a little bit of a roll, it’s a little bit sore. But I’m able to move around and look forward to getting out to practice and seeing how I can push it as the week goes on.’'

Mahomes said having a short week coming off of their Monday night win made the ankle recovery a little more difficult, but there was no sign of concern about his availability to face the Broncos this weekend.

Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson made life miserable for the Raiders last Sunday.

Hendrickson had four sacks during the Bengals’ 41-24 win over the struggling AFC West club. It was the first four-sack game of Hendrickson’s career and he’s up to 11 on the year after posting a career-high 17.5 sacks last season.

Hendrickson had seven quarterback hits overall and he forced a fumble during his dominant performance against Las Vegas.

The effort was enough for the NFL to recognize Hendrickson as the AFC’s defensive player of the week. Hendrickson previously won the award in Week Three of the 2022 season.
