Baltimore Ravens:

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens (8-3) lead the AFC North after a 34-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals last Thursday night. The Ravens have now scored over 31 points in their last 5 games marking the longest streak in franchise history.

Jackson has 2,441 passing yards with 12 touchdown passes and five interceptions this season. He has a career-high 69.5 completion% (5th in NFL) and a 100.1 passer rating. He also leads all quarterbacks in rushing yards (535) and has scored five rushing touchdowns, which are second on Baltimore behind RB Gus Edwards.

LA Chargers:

Justin Herbert and the LA Chargers (4-6) are off to their worst start through 10 games since 2020. The team fell 23-20 to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night at Lambeau Field. Herbert finished 21-of-36 for 260 yards with two touchdowns, while gaining 73 yards on eight attempts as the team’s leading rusher on Sunday. The Chargers’ defense allowed 397 yards in the loss.

The team currently has the worst defense in the league ranking last in both total defense (393.6 yds/gm) and pass defense (291.6 yds/gm). Head coach Brandon Staley addressed the team’s defensive woes after the game.

“We haven’t found that rhythm consistently in the secondary… There’s these plays that really hijack our rhythm in the passing game. That’s where we gotta put our focus – that’s where it’s been. Until we get that solved consistently, you’re gonna to continue to see results like today.”

The first game will take place Saturday, Dec 23 at 8p ET between the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Chargers. The playoff game will take place during the Wild Card round on Saturday, Jan 13, 2024.
