As expected, former Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love is garnering significant interest at the top of the draft.
Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Love is set to take a pre-draft visit with the Bengals on Monday after already meeting with the Titans and Giants.
Tennessee has the No. 4 overall pick and New York has the No. 5 selection. Cincinnati is at No. 10 overall and it currently appears Love could be off the board by then.
Considered one of the top prospects in this year’s class, Love rushed for 1,372 yards with 18 touchdowns and caught 27 passes for 280 yards with three TDs for Notre Dame in 2025.
He posted a 4.36-second 40-yard dash at the scouting combine, cementing his status as one of the best incoming players in the draft.
Giants Clips
John Harbaugh’s arrival as the head coach has created optimism about better days ahead for the Giants, but one of the team’s best players doesn’t appear to be interested in being a part of what comes next.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence has requested a trade. Lawrence is not expected to report to Tuesday’s start of the team’s offseason program. All participation at this stage in the program is voluntary.
Lawrence has two more years left on his current contract and he’s set to make up to $20 million this year, although he would forfeit a $500,000 bonus if he does not take part in the team’s offseason workouts. Per Schefter’s report, there was hope for talks about a new deal that have not taken place.
Lawrence was a 2019 first-round pick and he’s been named a second-team All-Pro twice during his time with the Giants. He has 341 tackles, 30.5 sacks, an interception and five forced fumbles in 109 career appearances.
There are two teams taking a closer look at an incoming LSU defensive back this week.
Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, cornerback Mansoor Delane is taking a pre-draft visit with the Dolphins on Monday and Tuesday and the Giants on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
Delane ran a reported 4.38 40-yard dash during LSU’s Pro Day.
Delane began his collegiate career at Virginia Tech, playing for the program from 2022-2024. He transferred to LSU for his final season in 2025, recording a pair of interceptions with 11 passes defended for the Tigers.
Wide receiver Makai Lemon is expected to be a first-round pick in this month’s draft and he’s making the rounds with some of the teams that could add him to their lineup.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Lemon visited with the Chiefs on Thursday. Kansas City has the ninth overall pick this year.
Lemon is also slated to meet with the Jets, Giants, Commanders and Dolphins. The Jets have the second and 16th picks, the Giants are slated to pick fourth, the Commanders are at No. 7 and the Dolphins have both the 11th and 30th picks. Lemon also spent time with the Saints, who pick eighth, in March.
Lemon had 79 receptions for 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns at USC during the 2025 season. He was given the Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s top receiver.
Defensive lineman Rakeem “Nacho” Nunez-Roches has agreed to a one-year deal to return to the Buccaneers, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Nunez-Roches, 32, spent the past three seasons with the Giants.
In 2025, he played only nine games due to an ankle injury. Nunez-Roches still set a career-high with three sacks and made 23 tackles.
Nunez-Roches previously spent five seasons with the Bucs, playing 68 games with 22 starts from 2018-22. He won a Super Bowl ring when the Bucs won it all in the 2020 season.
The Chiefs made Nunez-Roches a sixth-round pick in 2015. He was in Kansas City for three seasons.
Arvell Reese may not make it past the second overall pick in the draft later this month, but other teams at the top of the draft order will be ready if he does slip past the Jets.
NFL Media reports that Reese has visited with four of the next seven teams on the draft board, including the three teams slated to pick directly after the Jets at No. 2. The edge rusher has spent time with the Cardinals, Titans, and Giants as well as the Chiefs. Kansas City has the ninth overall pick.
Per the report, Reese has also met with the Cowboys, who have the No. 12 pick.
It seems unlikely that Reese will be available if Dallas stays put, but the Cowboys do have a pair of first-round picks this year — the Chiefs do as well — so they could try to make a jump up the board if they are convinced Reese is their guy.
Offseason programs will start getting underway around the NFL next week.
The ten teams that hired new coaches this offseason will be eligible to start working with their players on Monday, April 6. The Ravens are the only team that has set that as their first day of work while the Cardinals, Falcons, Bills, Browns, Raiders, Dolphins, Giants, Steelers and Titans have set Tuesday as their opening day.
All of those teams will also be able to hold a voluntary minicamp later in the spring. Every team is also scheduled to hold a rookie minicamp and a mandatory minicamp over the course of the next few months.
The first two weeks of work for all teams is limited to meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation only. The three-week second phase allows for on-field work, but no full-speed team drills while the third OTA phase allows for team drills, but there is no live contact allowed at any point in the offseason.
Most of the 22 teams with returning coaches will be opening their offseason programs on April 20 or 21. The Broncos have set May 4 as their first day.
New Giants head coach John Harbaugh was eager to sign tight end Isaiah Likely after coaching him the last four years on the Ravens. Not so much because of what Likely has done, but because of what Harbaugh believes Likely will do.
Harbaugh acknowledged that Likely’s stats in Baltimore — he never had 500 receiving yards in a season — weren’t overwhelming. But he said on the Giants, Likely will have a bigger role and better production.
“I’m certain he’s going to be able to put up the numbers, the stats,” Harbaugh said. “That wasn’t the thing in Baltimore because of the supporting cast.”
Harbaugh said he’s very aware of everything Likely is capable of.
“I’ve seen him every day in practice,” Harbaugh said. “I’ve seen him make plays. I know how he plays the game. So, you try to kind of create a vision for a player. What do you think they’re capable of doing? And one thing that we always have tried to do is see what players can do. Not so much concerned about what they don’t do, what they haven’t done, what they can’t do. What can they do? And when you see a player do it every day, you got a pretty good idea what he’s capable of.”
Harbaugh said Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart will benefit from Likely making plays in the offense.
“He’s a playmaking football player,” Harbaugh said of Likely. “He’s going to make plays for us. I think Jaxson’s going to really like him running the routes and being in his line of vision. He’s got a big catch radius. He can he can make plays, after he makes the catch he can get up field. He can make people miss. He can run people over. He’s a very good perimeter blocker. You’ll see that. That’ll be good for our run game. So, all those things he brings to the table.”
Harbaugh thinks Likely will bring even more to the table in New York than he did in Baltimore.
Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Giants head coach John Harbaugh sat down together at this week’s league meeting in Arizona.
No deal is imminent but the Giants do have interest in brining Beckham back, according to ESPN.
Harbaugh, who coached Beckham in 2023 on the Ravens, said at the league meeting that he and Beckham have remained in touch, and that he considers Beckham one of his favorite people in the world.
Beckham didn’t play at all last season, and Giants General Manager Joe Schoen said the Giants would need to work him out before they’d sign him.
“Somebody that hasn’t played, in this instance you’re talking about Odell hasn’t played in a year, you’d certainly want to see him work out,” Schoen said.
Beckham hasn’t gained even 600 receiving yards in a season since 2019, so he’s long past the days when he was one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. But that’s what he was on the Giants, and the Giants sound open to at least giving him a chance to come in for a workout and show he can still play.
When Commissioner Roger Goodell last spoke to reporters, he addressed the then-recent disclosure of an email relationship between Giants co-owner Steve Tisch and Jeffrey Epstein. Said Goodell at the time, “Let’s get the facts first.”
On Tuesday, Goodell was asked by reporters whether there’s an update on the situation, and specifically whether the league has found cause to take action under the Personal Conduct Policy.
“There hasn’t been,” Goodell responded. “As we said, we’re going to follow the facts. We have been doing that. We’ve been very focused on making sure we know everything that’s out there. We’ve engaged with others to make sure we have that information. As you know, the Tisch family also made some family changes. Steve, and John, and Laurie actually did some transactions as part of their estate planning and are no longer owners. But we have not found anything that’s a violation at this stage.”
Steve Tisch reportedly will remain the chairman of the Giants board, so he’s not completely out of the organization. And there continues to be more than enough evidence to justify a full investigation regarding his relationship with Epstein — and the liaisons it spawned.
With Steve Tisch surrendering his interest in the team, the league has an easy way to justify inaction. It’s still fair to wonder whether the NFL applies a double standard when it comes to owners and everyone else, especially players.
