16 things to know about the Week 14 injury report

V. Jacksonsnf

We’ve taken care of the big injury stories in the rumor mill. (Matt Cassel and Percy Harvin are both doubtful, for instance.) The rest is recapped below in America’s favorite running segment about the injury report.

1. The Falcons are expected to be without backup running back Jason Snelling (hamstring) again. Linebacker Curtis Lofton (knee) is questionable, but is expected to play.

2. Bengals tight end Jermaine Gresham missed practice all week because of a death in his family. He’s tentatively expected to play, but is listed as questionable. Cornerback Johnathan Joseph (ankle) returned to practice and is questionable.

3. Steelers right tackle Flozell Adams (ankle) is back. He’s listed as probable. Tight end Heath Miller is out, as expected.

4. Browns quarterback Colt McCoy (ankle) returned for a limited practice Friday. He’s listed as questionable, but Jake Delhomme is likely to start.

5. The Broncos list recently arrested cornerback Perrish Cox as questionable (not injury related.) The team continues to be without safety Brian Dawkins (knee) and wide receiver Demaryius Thomas (ankle).

6. The Cardinals officially listed Derek Anderson (head) as doubtful. He’ll be the team’s third quarterback. Linebackers Clark Haggans (groin) and Joey Porter (knee) are questionable, but they practiced on a limited basis.

7. The Packers could get safeties Atari Bigby (hamstring) and Anthony Smith (ankle) back in the mix this week. They are questionable after returning to practice. Bigby practiced fully Friday.

8. Chargers wideout Vincent Jackson (knee) is officially questionable, but looks ready to go after practicing fully Friday. Antonio Gates (toe, foot) and running back Darren Sproles (concussion) are also questionable. Gates is expected to play despite missing practice all week.

9. The Dolphins are playing without wideout Brian Hartline (finger) and tackle Vernon Carey (knee). Everyone else practiced on at least a limited basis all week.

10. The Giants offensive line is getting healthier, but not that healthy. Tackle Shawn Andrews remains out and center Shaun O’Hara (foot) is doubtful. The team will have David Diehl (hip, probable) available. Wideouts Steve Smith and Hakeem Nicks are both questionable, but expected to play.

11. Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain (foot) is questionable after skipping practice all week. He played through the injury last. The Raiders have a raft of other questionable players, but they should be available.

12. The Jaguars will get wideout Mike Sims-Walker (ankle) back in the mix this week. He’s probable.

13. It looks like 49ers nose tackle Aubrayo Franklin will be available after practicing fully Friday. He’s the key to the team’s rush defense and is listed as questionable.

14. The Rams will likely be down two cornerbacks, including starter Ronald Bartell (neck) in New Orleans. The Saints tried to sign Bartell a few years back before the Rams out-bid them. This is the wrong game to be short in the secondary.

15. Ryan Torain should be available again for the Redskins, but its uncertain if he’ll start. Cornerback Carlos Rogers and LaRon Landry didn’t practice all week, but the Redskins listed them as questionable anyway because Mike Shanahan is in a bad mood.

16. Enjoy your holiday parties and shopping this weekend. As always, thanks for making PFT your No. 1 place to point out my terrible typos.
