As expected, the Bears have formally interviewed John Fox for their head coaching position.
Via their website, the Bears confirmed they met with Fox Wednesday at their headquarters in Lake Forest, Illinois.
The 59-year-old Fox led the Broncos to a 49-21 record in four seasons before parting ways with the club on Monday.
Fox is the sixth candidate interviewed by the Bears, the club said. The team met with ex-Bills head coach Doug Marrone and Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin on Tuesday.
From the time he became available, Fox has been regarded as a potential fit in Chicago. Now, the focus turns to whether the Bears’ search ends with the former Carolina and Denver head coach signing a deal.
