The Bears have brought up defensive end Cheta Ozougwu from the practice squad, the club said Saturday afternoon.

The move to promote Ozougwu comes with starting defensive end Shea McClellin doubtful with a hamstring injury.

Ozougwu, 24, played in two regular-season games for the Bears in 2012, notching three tackles. The Bears waived him from their roster on Sept. 1, 2013, then signed him to the practice squad 23 days later.

To make room for Ozougwu on the roster, the Bears released linebacker Larry Grant.
