The Cardinals opened Sunday’s game with an impressive drive, and the Falcons answered with one of their own.

It’s 7-7 late in the first quarter after Devonta Freeman’s 1-yard touchdown run.

The Cardinals went 75 yards in nine plays and scored on a 1-yard touchdown pass from Carson Palmer to Jermaine Gresham. David Johnson was ruled short of the goal line on the play before the touchdown, and Palmer used a play-action fake to get Gresham open in the back of the end zone on the touchdown pass.

The Falcons drove 72 yards for their touchdown. Matt Ryan is 6-of-7 for 50 yards to start.
