The Cardinals have been pretty active in free agency already.
But they have a little more room now if they need it.
According to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, the Cardinals completed a restructure with quarterback Carson Palmer today, clearing $7.1 million of cap space. Palmer had a $9.5 million roster bonus due today, and it was converted to a signing bonus to prorate.
Granted, that kicks the can down the road, and creates cap numbers of $19 million and $22.6 million the following two years.
But at the moment, it buys the Cards a little room to work, after already signing guard Mike Iupati to a big deal and scads of defensive help on smaller ones.
