Eagles tight end Brent Celek is like a lot of fans out there; he doesn’t want to hear about any more about labor talks.

“I think the two sides need to stay out of the media,” Celek said on PFT Live Friday. “When you go to the media and you bicker back-and-forth, I think it’s pissing the fans off. And the fans are who pay the bills.”

We agree. As Florio said on the show, if the two sides spent as much energy on getting a deal done as they are on P.R., perhaps we’d have a deal by now.

More importantly, P.R. seems to have the opposite effect these days. Hearing from the league or NFLPA* is just reminder of an unjust lockout that football fans don’t want to be reminded about.
