As if there were any doubt, the Miami Dolphins aren’t and won’t be one of the “several teams” interested in Terrell Owens. Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald reports that, per two team sources, the move won’t be happening. One source said, “No shot.” Another said, “Not a chance.” Per Darlington, the team has opted to say nothing publicly about the situation, in order to keep as far from the drama as possible. Even without the bad history between Owens and V.P. of football operations Bill Parcells, the Dolphins likely wouldn’t be interested. As one source with knowledge of the team’s mindset explained it to us, the fact that the Dolphins weren’t interested in the younger Laveranues Coles, who has a close friendship with quarterback Chad Pennington, proves that the team simply isn’t in the market for a thirtysomething wideout.
