Jerry Jones: Sean Lee “probably doubtful” this week

The Cowboys expect to have Tony Romo back in the lineup for their Week 11 game against the Dolphins, which leaves one more game to play with Matt Cassel running the offense.

If the last six games are any guide, that means that they will need a great performance from their defense in order to beat the Buccaneers. It sounds likely that they’ll have to come up with that performance without the help of linebacker Sean Lee.

Lee suffered a concussion against the Eagles last Sunday night and owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday that Lee’s outlook for this Sunday is “probably doubtful” as a result.

“We are taking into consideration that he had an earlier concussion this year,” Jones said on “Shan and RJ” on 105.3 The Fan, via the Dallas Morning News. “We are looking at it through that perspective. He will have to pass certain tests throughout the week. That’s going to be quite a challenge for him since one of the parts of the test will start with is that he’s had an earlier concussion in the year, so that’s quite a hurdle to overcome when you’ve had another concussion.”

Lee didn’t miss a game after that previous concussion and has 66 tackles, a sack and an interception in eight starts this season.
