Jonathan Martin hasn’t played in a regular-season NFL game since leaving the Dolphins last October. In Week One, Martin is in line to start for the 49ers.
With right tackle Anthony Davis out due to injury, Martin is expected to start against the Cowboys on Sunday.
The 49ers acquired Martin for a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2015. With Martin already contributing, it’s safe to say it was a good trade.
Meanwhile, former Dolphins guard Richie Incognito remains without a team following his role in the Martin scandal.
Also inactive for the 49ers are defensive end Tank Carradine, cornerback Chris Cook, defensive end Quinton Dial, quarterback Josh Johnson, center Marcus Martin, and receiver Quinton Patton.
