Marshawn Lynch, DeAndre Levy among inactives for Seahawks, Lions

A few big names will be absent for Monday night’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions.

Running back Marshawn Lynch (hamstring) and defensive tackle Brandon Mebane (groin) were ruled out following Seattle’s final walkthrough on Sunday. It will be the first game Lynch has been inactive for since being acquired by the Seahawks in 2010. He’s only missed one game since joining Seattle, which came after suffering back spasms prior to kickoff against the Cleveland Browns in Oct. 2011.

Thomas Rawls will start for the second straight week in Lynch’s place, who didn’t emerge from the locker room until late in the first quarter last week. Jordan Hill will start for Mebane.

The Detroit Lions also ruled out linebacker DeAndre Levy (hip) and tackle Corey Robinson (ankle) on Sunday. Neither player made the trip to Seattle with the team. Levy has yet to play this season for the Lions.

Also inactive for Seattle are cornerback Tharold Simon (toe), safety Steven Terrell (hip), linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis (hamstring), defensive end Demarcus Dobbs (shoulder) and guard Kristjan Sokoli.

Fullback Will Tukuafu is expected to get some snaps on defense for Seattle in place of Mebane and Dobbs. Linebacker Bruce Irvin is active and will play after being added to the injury report Sunday with an ankle injury.

Guard Larry Warford is also inactive despite being able to fully participate in practice on Friday. He was limited on Saturday due to an ankle injury and was questionable to play against Seattle.

Manny Ramirez will start in Warford’s place at right guard. Rookie Laken Tomlinson will replace Ramirez at left guard.

Running back Joique Bell (ankle) and tight end Brandon Pettigrew (hamstring) had already been ruled out on Saturday by Detroit.

Ameer Abdullah will start in place of Bell. Josh Bynes will start in place of Levy.

Defensive end Phillip Hunt and defensive tackle Jermelle Cudjo are also inactive for the Lions.
