Seahawks tackle Russell Okung, seen pushing a staff member and spitting blood after the last play of the first half of Sunday’s win over the 49ers, has been treated and released from a Seattle hospital with a chest-wall injury.
Via SeattlePI.com, coach Pete Carroll confirmed the injury and said that more information will be available in the coming days.
Without Okung in the second half, the Seahawks turned a 7-3 deficit into a 17-7 win, which coupled with Detroit’s win over the Vikings has mathematically eliminated the 49ers from postseason contention.
