The Panthers continued the quick march of paperwork Friday, signing yet another rookie.

Today, they signed fifth-round running back Cameron Artis-Payne to his standard four-year rookie deal, the team announced.

They signed three of their picks last night including first-rounder Shaq Thompson, leaving only second-round wide receiver Devin Funchess without a deal.

Artis-Payne has a chance to play a quick role for the Panthers, as he’s slides into a once-crowded backfield vacated by veteran DeAngelo Williams this offseason. The Panthers have even given him Williams’ number, and there’s a chance for Artis-Payne to get some work behind Jonathan Stewart and Fozzy Whittaker.
