The Dolphins just used the franchise tag on defensive tackle Randy Starks, while the other starter was getting a little work done.

According to Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com, Dolphins defensive tackle Paul Soliai recently had a minor (and dare we say, successful) arthroscopic procedure on his elbow.

Soliai is expected to be recovered for the start of the offseason program in April.

He was the Dolphins’ franchise player in 2011, before signing a two-year deal last offseason. Along with Starks, he gives the Dolphins run defense a solid foundation to build upon.
