It hardly even seems like news anymore when the Jaguars fail to sell out a home game and get blacked out on local television in Jacksonville.
But we’ll point it out for those who haven’t heard: The Jaguars have announced that the game is not sold out and will be blacked out in Jacksonville and the secondary markets of Gainesville, Daytona Beach, Orlando and Savannah.
The team is also reminding fans that the CBS broadcast of the Texans vs. Jaguars game can be viewed by local fans on jaguars.com and NFL.com starting at midnight Sunday night. This is the first year that the NFL has allowed fans in blacked out markets to watch the game online afterward.
The Jaguars said before the season that they expected to have a local blackout for every home game. They’re now two games away from making that expectation a reality.
