Tom Brady has perfect attendance at Patriots’ voluntary workouts

Tom Brady isn’t letting Deflategate keep him from working.

Brady has not missed a single voluntary workout since the Patriots’ began their offseason program on April 20, Mike Reiss of ESPN reports.

That hasn’t always been the case. In some offseasons, Brady has chosen to travel to California to spend time with his family, rather than spend the whole offseason in New England with the team. Patriots owner Robert Kraft, always a steadfast Brady supporter, even said in 2010 that he would have preferred to see Brady at the facility instead of knowing that Brady was working out on his own elsewhere -- which is about as close as Kraft has ever come to criticizing Brady.

Brady’s four-game suspension may make this offseason more important for him than usual. If his suspension isn’t overturned, his teammates will spend the first month of the season working without him, and it may take some time for them to get in sync. This offseason Brady wants to spend all the time he can around his team, while he can.
