Because it’s May and because they’re voluntary, there’s a ceiling on how worried one should get about the availability of certain players.
But when those players have dealt with injuries throughout their careers, it’s worth filing away, at least.
Via Tarik El-Bashir of CSNWashington.com, tight end Jordan Reed was held out of Tuesday’s OTAs because of a knee issue.
“He just had a little bit of knee soreness, so we sent him down to get checked,” coach Jay Gruden said, before downplaying it moments later.
In his first two seasons, Reed has missed 12 games because of a litany of injuries, from the bottom to the top — knees and hamstrings and hip pointers and a concussion.
Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan was also absent after having his knee scoped last week, but Gruden said he’d “be ready to roll soon.”
There was no explanation for wide receiver DeSean Jackson’s absence, but Gruden said he was expected next week, while a few other players (left tackle Trent Williams and cornerback Tracy Porter) had travel issues.
