Slalom canoeist Joe Jacobi‘s 1992 Olympic gold medal was stolen from a car in Atlanta on Monday.

The medal was inside a backpack that was taken from the car after it was broken into, according to NBC’s affiliate in Atlanta.

Jacobi’s wife, Lisa, posted an image of the car belonging to the person she believed stole the medal.

Jacobi, 46, competed in the 1992 Barcelona and 2004 Athens Olympics.
