World Figure Skating Championships short dance, men’s free skate start orders

The World Figure Skating Championships continue with the short dance and men’s free skate in Saitama, Japan, on Friday, 13 hours ahead of Eastern Time.

To minimize sleep deprivation, here’s a list of key skaters and when they’re scheduled to take the ice:

Short dance – Thursday night/Friday morning ET
12:58 a.m. — Alexandra Aldridge/Daniel Eaton (2012-13 U.S. junior champions)
1:38 a.m. -- Yekaterina Bobrova/Dmitry Soloviyev (2013 World Championships bronze medalists from Russia)
1:45 a.m. — Maia Shibutani/Alex Shibutani (2014 Olympics, ninth place)
1:51 a.m. -- Yelena Ilinykh/Nikita Katsalapov (2014 Olympic bronze medalists from Russia)
1:58 a.m. — Nathalie Pechalat/Fabian Bourzat (2014 Olympics, fourth place, from France)
2:26 a.m. — Madison Chock/Evan Bates (2014 Olympics, eighth place)

Here’s the full short dance start order.

Men’s free skate – Friday morning ET
6:19 a.m. — Max Aaron (ninth place after short program)
6:35 a.m. — Jeremy Abbott (eighth after short program)
7:25 a.m. — Tatsuki Machida (first after short program, from Japan)
7:42 a.m. — Yuzuru Hanyu (third place after short program, from Japan)
7:51 a.m. -- Javier Fernandez (second place after short program, from Spain)
