Second-Round Coverage Begins Thursday at Noon ET on NBCSN; Quarterfinals Tip Off Friday at Noon ET on NBCSN
Paul Burmeister, Dave Kaplan and Ros Gold-Onwude to Call Primetime A-10 Championship Matchups
STAMFORD, Conn. – March 7, 2017 – NBCSN presents the Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Championship this Thursday and Friday from PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pa., totaling more than 15 hours of coverage of the Second Round and Quarterfinals.
NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app — NBC Sports Group’s live streaming platforms for desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs — will provide live streaming of NBCSN’s A-10 Men’s Basketball Championship coverage.
Thursday’s coverage of the Second Round on NBCSN tips off at Noon ET with Game 3 featuring No. 8 La Salle – No. 9 Davidson, followed by Game 4 between No. 5 St. Bonaventure and the winner of Game 1 of the tournament (No. 12 UMass – No. 13 Saint Joseph’s) at 2:30 p.m. ET. Play-by-play announcer Mike Corey will call Games 3 and 4, and will be joined by former Division I basketball player and analyst Rosalyn Gold-Onwude. Dave Kaplan will serve as courtside reporter.
Thursday’s quadrupleheader on NBCSN continues at 6 p.m. ET with Game 5 featuring No. 7 George Mason – No. 10 Fordham, and concludes with Game 6 between No. 6 George Washington and the winner of Game 2 (No. 11 Saint Louis – No. 14 Duquesne) at 8:30 p.m. ET. Veteran play-by-play announcer Paul Burmeister will handle NBCSN’s coverage of the two evening matchups. Burmeister will be joined by Kaplan (analyst) and Gold-Onwude (courtside reporter) for Thursday’s nightcaps.
NBCSN’s coverage of the A-10 Championship Quarterfinals begins Friday at Noon ET with Game 7 of the tournament featuring No. 1 Dayton and the winner of Game 3, and continues at 2:30 p.m. ET with No. 4 Rhode Island and the winner of Game 4. Corey, Gold-Onwude and Kaplan will manage the call for Friday’s afternoon games.
Friday’s Quarterfinals coverage continues at 6 p.m. ET with Game 9 featuring No. 2 VCU and the winner of Game 5, followed by Game 10 between No. 3 Richmond and the winner of Game 6. Burmeister, Kaplan, and Gold-Onwude will call Friday’s evening matchups.
Carolyn Manno will host NBCSN’s Atlantic 10 Championship studio coverage and Friday, and will be joined by former Division I basketball player and coach Ron Thompson.
